Hereโs where your M***I contributions have gone this school year:
๐ Term 1 (UN Week) โ โฑ12,647.00
๐ Term 2 (Valentineโs Day) โ โฑ12,142.00
๐ญ Term 3 (META Week) โ โฑ13,200.00
But what is M***I? ๐ค๐
The term M***I is widely used in countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, referring to a non-uniform day where students are allowed to wear civilian or casual attire instead of their school uniform. ๐ฝ In many schools, this is done during special events or fundraising activities, where students dress according to a theme while contributing a small donation for a meaningful cause. ๐ก๐
At SSI, M***I is more than just wearing themed outfitsโit is a way for students to express themselves, participate actively, and give back during celebrations such as UN Week ๐, Valentineโs Day ๐, and META Week ๐ญ.
๐ Almost 70% of the total collection was donated to our sole beneficiary during the 1st and 2nd JHS SG Outreach Activities at Bukal ng Kapayapaan โ Home for Abandoned Special Childrenโa simple act of giving that created a meaningful impact. ๐คโจ
๐ The remaining funds supported or sponsored various student programs and activities such as Teachersโ Day Celebration ๐ฉโ๐ซ, Sports-for-a-Cause ๐, Christmas Party ๐, UN Week ๐, Valentineโs Activities ๐, Faculty & Staff Day ๐, JHS Intramurals/Cheerdance ๐ฃ, and Class Unity Awards ๐, along with other JHS-led initiatives. These efforts reflect our commitment to building a stronger, more united, and engaged student community. ๐ซโจ
๐ With grateful hearts, the JHS Student Government, together with our adviser, Ms. Melchie Magracia, sincerely thanks every SSIan and parent or guardian who donated, supported, and actively participated in these initiatives. ๐ซ๐
