We are sending prayers for everyone affected, especially those who have lost loved ones or been injured.

The Methuselah tree, a Great Basin bristlecone pine (Pinus longaeva), is one of the oldest living trees, estimated at approximately 4,850 years in age. Located in California's White Mountains ๐Ÿ—ป within the Inyo National Forest, its specific location is kept confidential to protect it from vandalism. The treeโ€™s age was determined in the 1950s by dendrochronologist ๐Ÿ“ˆEdmund Schulman, who analyzed its tree rings. This species is well-adapted to the harsh conditions of high-altitude environments, exhibiting twisted trunks as a result of survival in cold temperatures๐Ÿฅถ, arid soils, and strong winds๐Ÿ’จ.

They also come in various colors such as red, orange, blueish-grey, brown, yellow, white, and black. They could live up to 10โ€“15 years, but can live up to 30 years with proper care.
