God First — Kapag ang Diyos ang Una
Matthew 6:33

Tonight’s devotion reminded us of a simple but life-changing truth: when God is first, everything else finds its right place.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33

Before the work, before the relationships, before our plans, and even before our problems—God first.

We were reminded that we put God first by:
• Putting God first in our day.
• Putting God first in our decisions.
• Putting God first in our problems.

And even when life does not go according to plan, our view of God should remain unchanged. Like Job, may we continue to declare His goodness even when we do not understand our circumstances.

God does not change.
He remains faithful, good, and worthy of our trust.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

May we continue to seek Him first, trust Him completely, and allow Him to take His rightful place at the center of our lives.

What should be our highest priority in life as true followers of Jesus?

As we continue our theme series, “Intentionally Hear & Obey,” join us this Sunday, August 9, 2026, as we gather to seek God, deepen our faith, and grow in our walk with Christ.

Our message, “The One Thing That Matters Most,” from Luke 10:38–42, will lead us to reflect on the story of Mary and Martha and Jesus’ reminder about what truly matters. In the midst of life’s many demands and distractions, we are called to prioritize being with Jesus, listening to His Word, and choosing what has eternal value.

In This Season of Rain, Let Us Also Draw Near to God.

As the rainy season continues, may we be reminded that while the rain waters the earth and brings new life, God’s grace continually refreshes our hearts.

Whether you’re at home, traveling, working, or studying, we pray that the Lord will keep you and your loved ones safe under His loving care. No storm is greater than the One who holds us in His hands.

Let us pray for:
• God’s protection over every family during heavy rains and possible flooding.
• Safety for those traveling to work, school, and their daily responsibilities.
• Wisdom and strength for our frontliners and emergency responders.
• Comfort and provision for those affected by the weather.
• Good health and protection from illnesses that often come during the rainy season.
• That we would continue to trust God, even in life’s storms.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

May this rainy season remind us that even when the skies are dark, God’s faithfulness never fades. He is our shelter, our peace, and our hope.

Stay safe, stay warm, and continue to trust in the Lord. Let us also be ready to extend kindness and help to those who are in need.
