Fresh from its DominiCine run, the film continues its journey to a bigger platform that celebrates representation, identity, and lived experiences through cinema.

Through Cining Studios, this student film follows a mother and daughter’s journey through trauma, healing, and reclaiming dignity—showing how student cinema can reflect real social realities with care and purpose.

The Dominican community proudly supports "𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗺," an official finalist in the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival Student Shorts Category, presented by Cining Studios and directed by Dominican Multimedia Arts student, Samantha Palaje.

Competing alongside entries from across the country, Limlim tells the story of a young girl and her mother as they navigate the challenges of grief, loss, and healing. Through its powerful narrative, the film seeks to become a voice for young girls and women while encouraging meaningful conversations and positive change.
