𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Rotary Club of Bacoor held its monthly meeting on October 3, 2025, at Felize Café, Imus, Cavite. The meeting focused on the preparation for our upcoming activities, including the Blood Donation Drive, Charity Event, and most especially our Flagship Project – Beautiful Eyes, scheduled on October 18, 2025.

The gathering became even more special as members also celebrated the birthday of Lady Odette Calinog, making the meeting both productive and meaningful.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Rotary Club of Bacoor proudly joined hands with Innovative Controls, Inc.'s program and the Philippine Red Cross - Muntinlupa Chapter on October 10, 2025, for a meaningful Blood Donation Drive held in Bacoor City.

This collaborative initiative reflects our shared commitment to saving lives and promoting community wellness through the spirit of volunteerism and service. Together, we were able to encourage donors, raise awareness on the importance of blood donation, and make a positive impact on those in need.

Through this partnership, we strengthened our mission of “Service Above Self” and look forward to more opportunities to serve the community with compassion and purpose.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Rotary Anns of Rotary Club of Bacoor returned to the San Jose Balay Alima Foundation Inc., Brgy. Carasuchi, Indang, Cavite on October 10, 2025, to continue its support by donating fabric scraps (retaso) for their basahan livelihood program. This second visit marks our ongoing commitment to empowering their source of income through sustainable and meaningful assistance.

The visit also became extra special as we celebrated the birthdays of Rotary Anns Vicky, Joy, and Lanie. In the spirit of service and celebration, we shared meals with the elders and extended donations of groceries made possible through the collective support of Rotary Club of Bacoor.

This meaningful day highlighted fellowship, compassion, and our continued mission to uplift communities, one act of kindness at a time.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Rotary Club of Bacoor, led by UCP Dennis Calinog, together with the Innovative Controls Group of Companies, joined forces with the City Government of Bacoor for the International Coastal Clean-Up Drive 2025 held on September 20, 2025, at Maliksi I, Bacoor, Cavite. The initiative underscored the importance of collaboration in promoting environmental protection and community involvement.

Participants described the event as both fulfilling and eye-opening. A significant portion of the waste collected consisted of improperly discarded diapers, plastic packaging, and bubble wraps from parcel deliveries. These items are not only unsightly but also harmful, as they flow into the sea and pollute the waters that provide food and livelihood. The seafood enjoyed on our tables is directly impacted by the waste carelessly left behind.

Although the collected garbage was not formally weighed, the sheer volume was undeniable and alarming. The experience served as a strong reminder and a call to action: reduce plastic consumption, practice responsible waste disposal, and embrace mindful consumption habits.

Every small act of responsibility can create a ripple effect protecting our oceans, safeguarding our food supply, strengthening our communities, and preserving our shared future.

SHS within Bacoor Elementary School welcomed members of the Rotary Club of Bacoor, headed by UCP Dennis Calinog, yesterday, September 16.

SHS-BES, headed by Ms. Kynah Amor M. Darvin, School Principal II, warmly received the visitors and expressed her excitement about future partnerships that could benefit students, faculty, and staff.

During the meeting, the two groups discussed ways the Rotary Club could support the school, including community service initiatives, student development programs, and possible infrastructure projects.

This visit marked the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at enhancing programs and opportunities for the entire SHS-BES community.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Rotary Club of Bacoor, led by UCP Dennis Calinog, visited DepEd Tayo SHS within Bacoor Elementary School - Calabarzon on September 16, 2025, to discuss possible collaboration with Principal Kynah Amor Darvin.

The club was warmly welcomed by Principal Kynah Amor Darvin, who expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations that could benefit both students and faculty. During the meeting, both parties discussed various areas where the Rotary Club could extend assistance, including community service initiatives, student development programs, and infrastructure support.

This initial dialogue marks a promising step towards strengthening ties between civic organizations and the local education sector, aligning with Rotary’s mission to support education and uplift communities.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: On August 28, 2025, the Rotary Club of Bacoor warmly welcomed rotarians from its international sister club, the Rotary Club of Pohang-Songlim, Korea, in a meaningful visit to the Philippines marked by cultural exchange, friendship, and shared traditions.

The fellowship visit highlighted the strong ties between the two clubs as members engaged in activities that celebrated both Filipino and Korean culture. The group explored key destinations in Laguna and Batangas, where they experienced local heritage, traditions, and hospitality.

The exchange fostered deeper camaraderie, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to service, global understanding, and international goodwill. Both clubs expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen bonds and look forward to more collaborations in the future.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: On August 28, 2025, Rotary Club of Bacoor together with its international partner, Rotary Club of Pohang-Songlim from Korea visited DepEd Tayo SHS within Bacoor Elementary School - Calabarzon as part of their continuing goodwill and community engagement initiatives. The visit was highlighted by a tour of the newly renovated comfort rooms, a project originally donated by RC Pohang-Songlim and recently upgraded through the efforts of Rotary Club of Bacoor. The delegation received a warm and heartfelt welcome from the students, faculty, and school administration, making the visit both memorable and inspiring.

Following the school visit, the delegation met with the school’s principal and other faculty members to explore potential partnership projects aimed at further supporting the school and its students. The open and productive discussion paved the way for future collaborations focused on education, infrastructure, and student development.

The meaningful day concluded with a lunch fellowship at Orchard Golf and Country Club, graciously hosted by Past President Toto Pizarro, providing a warm setting for camaraderie and cultural exchange between the two clubs.
