🎉 A Celebration of Heroism & Wit! Join Our Rizal Day Festivities! 🎉

This coming December 30 , 2025, we honor the life, works, and sacrifice of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, on the anniversary of his ex*****on. This year, we're making the commemoration interactive and memorable with Rizal day Rites and two exciting contests for the whole community to enjoy!

We invite everyone to witness the excitement and cheer for our participants!

🧠 The 5th Annual Rizal Quiz Bee

Test your knowledge on the life, works, and fascinating facts about Pepe! Our classic quiz bee continues on its fifth year, challenging students and community members with questions about the hero who could speak 22 languages.

JOSE RIZAL QUIZ BEE COMPETITION 4th Edition

A. Participants:
1. The contest is open to all participants during the Ibayaw Leadership Training.
2. A call of participants will be announced on December 20, 2024 via Knights of Rizal Official page. Interested participants may register on the link provided and with the consent to provide personal information which will be used as means of verification on the eligibility requirements.
3. A maximum of 20 entries will only be accommodated to participate in the contest proper. Selection of entries will be based on the top scores garnered during the pre-qualifying quiz.
4. Multiple entries from any of the colleges and universities is acceptable. Entry is not an institution but a personal submission.
5. The quiz bee is individual.
B. Scope and Coverage:
1. The quiz bee shall cover general questions on the life and works (including books and literature) of Rizal.
2. There shall be two (2) phases for each level: Elimination Phase and Final Phase.
3. The Elimination Phase is scheduled on December 8, 2023 which will be done on an online platform. Qualified participants will be notified immediately of the other instructions.
4. The Final Phase shall be conducted on Monday, 30 December 2024 at 9:00-12:00 NN at Puregold Bayawan City. Participants are expected to be physically present.
C. Prizes
1st: PhP 3,000.00
2nd: PhP 2,000.00
3rd: PhP 1,000.00
Consolation: 500.00

It is Rizal Month! Knights of Rizal Bayawan Chapter in collaboration with Culture, Arts, Tourism , Promotion and Investment Office of Bayawan City invites you to

RIZAL SINGING IDOL😍

Rizal Singing idol is an open singing competition intended for 13-19 years old only, residents of Bayawan City.

Guidelines:
1. Rizal Singing Idol is a solo singing competition.
2. The choice of music is limited to Filipino Makabayan Songs. Remix is not allowed.
3. The participant is given a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes of performance.
4. Performing beyond the allotted time would mean a 10-point deduction in the overall score.
5. Accompaniment should only be in a minus one.
6. Appropriate and decent attire must be worn.
7. Each of the participants will be judged:

Voice Quality = 40%
Mastery = 20%
Interpretation and Expression = 20%
Technique and Control = 10%
Overall Performance = 10%
100%
8. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
9. Prizes
10. 1st: PhP 3,000.00
11. 2nd: PhP 2,000.00
12. 3rd: PhP 1,000.00
13. Consolation: 500.00
