We celebrate the date of birth and the legacy of the ever-valued Filipino architect, 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐚.

Widely known as the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 and the 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 (𝗣𝗜𝗔) 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, he continues to be an inspiration to generations and generations of architects, may they be young and new or seasoned fellows. His contributions to the field of Philippine Architecture are highlighted in the buildings he designed that continue to stand at present.

Architects and future ones aspire to be the visionary that you are, a shining example of Filipino skill and creativity having lasting impact on Filipino architecture and identity.

Wouy, Arki-Honorians! A new opportunity that aids in your career path. The architecture department has boldly offered another bridge that will pique your curiosity about our national history. Don Honorio Ventura State University is one of the top suppliers of brilliant architects in the country; hence, the architecture department intends to establish the first Junior Philippine Institute of Architects (JRPIA) in Pampanga. This new organization has created a path to facilitate your design journey after graduation.

JRPIA aims to make young architects look back on the traces of Philippine architecture, which we often see in our modern designs of buildings and landmarks. Through introducing these traces, it is also helping to account for the emerging issues in our national architecture by using abundant materials seen in our surroundings with accommodating cultural designs. This cultural design enhances and boldly stands for having a unique identity that meets cultural and modern flickering lines.

Ar. Aldrene Quirat, the JRPIA-DHVSU Chapter adviser, is extremely happy and eager to introduce you to the new society's roller coaster elements that pique your curiosity. The JRPIA-DHVSU Chapter invites all third-year students and above to take part in a historic event as pioneers of a new architectural institution on Kapampangan soil. The new organization is still continuing to encourage you to join and, together, to transform to one of the greater heights of Honorian.

Be a descendant of notable Filipino architects, and you could become a prestigious maker. What exactly are you waiting for, Arki-Honorians? Start paving the way for JRPIA!
