Base sa pinakaulihi nga monitoring sang DENR-Environmental Management Bureau Negros Island Region (EMB-NIR), ang air quality sa Bacolod ang yara sa “Very Unhealthy” level kag padayon nga ginabantayan ang kalidad sang hangin sa Bacolod City kag iban nga bahin sang Negros Island Region bangud sang haze nga nagaapekto sa pila ka lugar sa Pilipinas.

Ini posible nga may kaangtanan sa a*o kag transboundary haze halin sa nagapadayon nga sunog sa Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Pahanumdum sa tanan;
• Magsuksok sang husto kag masaligan nga face mask para proteksyon
• Limitahan ang outdoor activities.
• Magpabilin sa sulod sang balay kun kinahanglan, ilabi na sa mga vulnerable groups
• Mas maghalong ang mga kabataan, senior citizens, pregnant women, kag ang mga may respiratory kag heart conditions.

The HAPAG (Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay) Project is a Philippine government initiative led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to enhance food security and reduce food costs.

The goal is not only to establish community gardens in barangays but to teach the community to grow their own food to ensure access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food, mitigating rising food costs.

Free Ride on April 15th

Rest assured that the travel of Bacolodnons to the works, schools, offices, and other important walks in line with the expected transport strike on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Mayor Greg Gasataya instructed the deployment of Free Ride in different parts of the city.

Here's a look at the city's vigorous action to make sure residents continue to have services and respite even during a transport strike.

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘆:
7:00 AM - 2 trips
5:00 PM - 2 trips

About 10 tubtob 15 vehicles suitable for City Bus, BTTMD, DRRMO, and others will be deployed for this operation.

Mayor Greg urges everyone to continue peacefully declaring their stand, while assuring the city of continuing government operations and essential services.
