The pre-evaluation for the 2026 EcoLuminaries Awards has officially begun! 🌱🏆
Our evaluation team has started assessing entries in the following categories:🌿 Abanse Babaye/Lalaki Para sa Dunang Manggad, 🏆 Gawad Kalikasan Award, 🦆 Excellence in Wetlands Conservation and Management Award, and 🏫 Green School Excellence Award.
The Top 10 finalists in each category will be announced this week and will advance to the on-site validation, to be conducted by our distinguished external evaluators from Central Philippines State University (CPSU), Philippine Normal University Visayas (PNUV), the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
The final results will be based on a 50% Pre-Evaluation and 50% On-Site Validation, ensuring a fair, transparent, and comprehensive assessment of every nominee.
This is truly an exciting journey as we witness the remarkable initiatives, innovative practices, and inspiring stories of our Environmental and Natural Resources Offices, schools, and individual environmental champions. We look forward to discovering who will rise to excellence and be recognized as this year's EcoLuminaries—celebrating outstanding leadership, innovation, and commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
