Why we are here.

It all started when a group of like minded individuals found out that their beloved sanctuary was up for development and planned to be moved to a distant location on the outskirts of Bacolod City. This of course comes at a time where economic benefit usually overshadows the ecological importance of a place in a fast growing city. The picture above of Pasig City shows what can happen when a city turns its back on green space. So they decided that even though the world is slowly destroying many irreplaceable forests and coral reefs, and along with it, vital ecosystems that support a vast number of species, they had to do something to try and save this little gem in the middle of their city. It hit too close to home.

Negros Forest Park is important because it stands for sustainable development and at the same time ecological balance between man and nature even in an urban environment. We urge everyone to stand with us in preserving this park for future generations so that it may continue to educate and protect our province and represent it as a clean and green Bacolod City. There are so many other ways that this site could be developed to benefit the province economically, and we are hoping that through your support, we may be able to convince the provincial government to take a look at them.

Thank you for all your time in supporting this cause and we hope that one day we can all look back and say that we did something good for our city and our province that the future generations can be proud of!
