John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation – Bacolod, Inc., in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Bacolod City, successfully conducted a Fire Drill on July 29, 2026, as the culminating activity of the National Disaster Resilience Month 2026 celebration.

The activity enhanced the preparedness and emergency response skills of the school community. Special thanks to the JBLCF Senior Plus Red Cross Youth Council (SPRCY) and College Red Cross Youth Council (CRCY) for their invaluable assistance in making the event a success.

🚨𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲: 𝗝𝗕𝗟𝗖𝗙-𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗥𝗖𝗬 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲🚨

The JBLCF-Bacolod College Red Cross Youth (CRCY) Batch 2026 and Senior Plus Red Cross Youth ( SPRCY) successfully completed the three-day training conducted by the Philippine Red Cross Negros Occidental–Bacolod City Chapter.

The final day of the training showcased the volunteer’s growth as they applied the knowledge and skills they had learned throughout the program. Through hands-on activities, they practiced proper bandaging, bleeding control, patient lifting and carrying, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), strengthening both their confidence and readiness to respond during emergencies.

More than learning first aid techniques, the training reminded every volunteer that service begins with being prepared. The lessons and experiences gained over the past three days have equipped them to respond with confidence, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping others whenever the need arises.

This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by promoting lifesaving skills and emergency preparedness; SDG 4: Quality Education, by providing practical and meaningful learning experiences; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the collaboration between the Philippine Red Cross and JBLCF-Bacolod in empowering future humanitarian volunteers.

Congratulations to the JBLCF-Bacolod CRCY & SPRCY Batch 2026 on successfully completing your training! May this training serve as the beginning of your journey as dedicated volunteers. Continue to uphold the humanitarian spirit, be ready to respond, and use the knowledge you’ve gained to make a positive impact in our school and community!

❤️❤️‍🩹 SPRCY Joins the National CPR Caravan 2026! ❤️

The Senior Plus Red Cross Youth (SPRCY) of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation–Bacolod proudly participated in the National CPR Caravan organized by the Philippine Red Cross – Negros Occidental–Bacolod City Chapter on July 17, 2026, at SM City Bacolod, in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month.

With this year's inspiring theme, "Hawak Mo ang Beat: A Decade of CPR-Ready Philippines," our student volunteers strengthened their knowledge and lifesaving skills in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), reinforcing the importance of preparedness, resilience, and the ability to respond during emergencies.

This meaningful activity reminds us that every heartbeat matters and that anyone can become a lifesaver through proper training and the willingness to help others.

The SPRCY extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine Red Cross – Negros Occidental–Bacolod City Chapter for organizing this impactful initiative and for continuously empowering the youth to become compassionate, responsible, and disaster-ready members of the community.

The members of JBLCF-B SPRCY proudly participated in the 1st Mayor Greg Fire and Rescue Olympics, held on March 19, 2026, at the Bacolod City Government Center, in celebration of Fire Prevention Month. With the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa,” the team demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and dedication—earning the prestigious 1st Runner-Up title.

This remarkable achievement highlights the unwavering commitment of the Red Cross Youth to community safety and humanitarian service. Through active participation in fire and rescue–focused activities, the team not only honed their emergency response capabilities but also strengthened their role as proactive advocates of preparedness and public welfare.

Their success reflects the true spirit of volunteerism, discipline, and service—values that continue to define every Lacsonian.
