🤱💛 Celebrating Breastfeeding Awareness Month 💛🤱

In celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness, the Department of Pediatrics successfully conducted a Community Lecture, Free Consultation, and Snack Distribution on August 25 and 27, 2026, at Purok Lirio, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.

Through this meaningful activity, mothers and families were empowered with essential knowledge on the importance of breastfeeding, proper infant nutrition, and maternal and child health. Our team also provided consultations to address the health concerns of mothers and their children, followed by the distribution of snacks to the participants.

Together, we continue to support, encourage, and empower mothers—because every breastfeeding journey deserves understanding, guidance, and support. 💛

In celebration of Nutrition Month 2026, the Pediatric Department of Adventist Medical Center-Bacolod successfully conducted a Community Nutrition Lecture and Feeding Program last July 23, 2026, at Purok Lerio, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.

With the theme of promoting proper nutrition and healthy eating habits, parents and children actively participated in an informative lecture highlighting the importance of balanced nutrition in achieving healthier lives. The activity was followed by a feeding program where nutritious meals and snacks were shared with the children and families in the community.

This outreach reflects our commitment to promoting child health beyond the hospital walls through education, prevention, and compassionate service.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community partners, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who made this meaningful activity possible. Together, we continue to nourish lives and build healthier communities—one child, one family, and one community at a time. 💙👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

TB Awareness Month Recap – March 💙

Last March, we came together to celebrate TB Awareness Month by conducting a TB Awareness Lecture in the community to raise awareness and strengthening our fight against tuberculosis.

TB is preventable and curable — with early detection, proper diagnosis, and complete treatment. Through education and community support, we can stop the spread of TB.

✔️ Seek medical consultation if cough lasts more than 2 weeks
✔️ Complete the full course of treatment
✔️ End the stigma — support one another

🦷 In celebration of Oral Health Month, the Department of Pediatrics of Adventist Medical Center Bacolod conducted a community lecture for children and parents in our adopted community. The session focused on the importance of proper tooth brushing and maintaining good oral hygiene to prevent dental diseases. Oral care kits were also distributed to encourage children to practice healthy habits and keep their smiles bright. ✨

In celebration of Deworming Month, our Pediatrics team visited our adopted community to conduct a deworming program for the children.

Beyond giving medicines, we also shared simple but important lessons on handwashing, proper sanitation, and keeping our kids healthy and worm-free! 💙

In our Community Health Lecture, we discussed:

Epilepsy Awareness Community Lecture 💜last September 2025

Knowledge empowers. Understanding saves lives.

We are grateful to everyone who joined our Community Lecture on Epilepsy Awareness, where we discussed what epilepsy is, how to recognize seizures, proper first aid, and how we can support children and families living with epilepsy.

Through education, we help break myths, reduce stigma, and promote compassion and safety in our community.

✔ Epilepsy is a medical condition
✔ Seizures can be managed
✔ First aid knowledge can make a difference
