We live in a world that is loud with ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐. Everyone seems to be telling us who to be, what to wear, what to believe, and what success should look like.
But John the Baptist teaches us something different. Before God used John publicly, ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐๐ข ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐๐ก๐ฎ. John spent years in the wilderness, not because God forgot him, but because God was shaping him. While others were chasing popularity and comfort, John was learning to listen to Godโs voice.
Many young people today are afraid of missing out. We want to be where everyone else is. But sometimes, ๐๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ โ the seasons of waiting, studying, praying, and building character. The world needs more young people like John โ young people who are ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ก๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ฎ ๐ฉ๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐จ, ๐๐ช๐ฉ ๐๐ฎ ๐ฉ๐ง๐ช๐ฉ๐; ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐๐ช๐ฉ ๐๐ฎ ๐ฅ๐ช๐ง๐ฅ๐ค๐จ๐.
Remember: ๐๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ต. He can use your voice, your influence, your talents, and even your struggles. You do not have to be famous to make a difference. John simply pointed people to Jesus, and that changed lives.
So instead of asking, โHow can I fit in?โ ask, โHow can I faithfully follow God?โ Instead of trying to be an echo of the crowd, be a voice that reflects Christ.
Let us pray together as we prepare for ๐๐ฒ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐บ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ. ๐
