Leadership, dedication, and service were recognized as 23 young women from 14 school divisions across Negros Occidental received the prestigious Chief Girl Scout Medal during rites held at the Girl Scouts Headquarters in Bacolod City this afternoon.

The award honors Girl Scouts who demonstrated exemplary leadership, hard work, and commitment to service in their respective schools and communities. The ceremony was led by Negros Occidental Governor B**g Lacson together with officers and members of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines Negros Occidental Council.

The program also featured a cyber hygiene lecture by Ms. Happy V. Olmedo of DICT Negros Occidental and an inspirational message from Ms. Jonah Javier, Chief Girl Scout Medalist 1994.

What started as a gathering of scouts from different places turned into shared experiences, genuine connections, and moments that will stay with us long after the camp ended.

Until then, we carry with us the lessons, friendships, and memories that made Camp Marina more than just a campโ€”it became a story weโ€™ll always look back on.

The ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ž๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‚๐š๐๐ž๐ญ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐Ÿ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž gathered girl leaders from different councils and was held on ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก 6โ€“8, at ๐š๐ญ ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐š ๐˜๐ฎ๐ฅ๐จ-๐•๐š๐ซ๐ ๐š๐ฌ, ๐‚๐ž๐›๐ฎ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, with the theme " ๐„๐ง๐ ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐: ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐Œ๐ž๐š๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐ˆ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ญ."

The Conference brought the girls together, forming connections that is much like the leaves of a four-leaf clover - present with faith, hope, love, and luck. Over the period of three days, they created a safe and comforting environment for women to openly share their experiences, learned valuables lessons in life, and strengthened their sense of purpose as young leaders committed to serving their communities. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ โœจ

From beginning to the end of the conference, the girls were encouraged to step further without hesitationโ€”not to remain reticent, but to grow into the leaders their communities truly need. ๐Ÿ€

โœจ LITTLE STARS, BIG HEARTS! โœจ

On March 7, 2026, Star and Twinklers' Playday 2026 brought young Girl Scouts from all over the province to the GSP Negros Occidental Council to enjoy, learn, and play.

The day included insightful Free Being Me sessions on building body confidence and empowering Girl Scouts to embrace their uniqueness. The event ended with the Ms. Star Scout 2026 pageant, highlighting the young Scouts' poise, talent, and leadership.

These young Girl Scouts are more than just kids in a uniform โ€“ they are the bright stars and future leaders of our community, proving that when we nurture confidence, self-love, and teamwork in our children, we light the way for a kinder, more empowered world. Star and Twinklers' Playday 2026 wasnโ€™t just an event; it was a celebration of every little girlโ€™s potential to shine bright, embrace who they are, and make their mark on Negros Occidental and beyond.

The Outdoor Leadership Course Training was conducted last February 27-March 1, 2026 at GSP Negros Occidental Girl Scout Council Headquarters, Bacolod City.

This training is one of the basic foundations in producing well-trained troop leaders who are responsible for maintaining safe and well-managed camping activities.

A total of 33 participants from different Schools Division were present. They engaged and now more equipped with the mBasics of Girl Scouting and outdoor camping skills. They were trained on first Aid, Emergency preparedness, knot tying, lashing and outdoor cooking which made them ready to bring girls for outdoor camping and various camp-filled experience. ๐Ÿ•๏ธ
