FREEHANDS is a peer-helping-peer project created especially for physically and economically challenged entrepreneurs. It aims at promoting the skills and talents of its members and creating a community of self-reliant, responsible and proactive physically challenged individuals. Specifically, our objectives are:
a. to initiate and facilitate activities that will promote the socio-emotional gro
wth and skills development of our members and beneficiaries;
b. to provide a venue for our members to showcase, promote and market their goods and services for income generating projects and livelihood opportunities;
c. to establish linkages and create a network of support with other PWD groups, GOs and NGO, as well as local and international concerned units;
d. open opportunities for the physically challenged to share their knowledge, skills and abilities with the other members in the community;
and
e. advocate and promote the concept of peer helping peer within and outside the community. Each of us here is PHYSICALLY IMPAIRED, in one way or the other. Only, we don't call them IMPAIRMENTS or HANDICAPS. We call them CHALLENGES. For we believe we are only LIMITED as far as we ALLOW ourselves to be.
