WATCH: The Agubay Education Summit gathered educators, local governments, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders last May 13–14, 2026, at Citadines, Bacolod City in a shared commitment to strengthen child-centered education governance and create more inclusive learning systems for children in Negros Occidental.
Over two days, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on local education realities, participatory governance, and strengthening Local School Boards (LSBs) to become more responsive, accountable, and grounded in the needs of learners and communities.
The summit also served as a platform for collective reflection and action, recognizing that ensuring quality education and safer futures for children requires collaboration across communities, institutions, and sectors.
Because building better education systems begins with communities willing to listen, work together, and place children at the center of decision-making.
