WATCH: The Agubay Education Summit gathered educators, local governments, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders last May 13–14, 2026, at Citadines, Bacolod City in a shared commitment to strengthen child-centered education governance and create more inclusive learning systems for children in Negros Occidental.

Over two days, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on local education realities, participatory governance, and strengthening Local School Boards (LSBs) to become more responsive, accountable, and grounded in the needs of learners and communities.

The summit also served as a platform for collective reflection and action, recognizing that ensuring quality education and safer futures for children requires collaboration across communities, institutions, and sectors.

Because building better education systems begins with communities willing to listen, work together, and place children at the center of decision-making.

To strengthen child-centered protection systems, expand access to quality education, and build safer, more nurturing communities for every child in Negros. 🍃

We are the Agubay Child Protection Alliance Negros, a multi-stakeholder coalition advancing safe, nurturing, and protective environments for every child by bringing together civil society, local governments, and communities to strengthen systems that prevent harm, respond to risks, and uphold children’s rights.

Through strengthened governance, community action, and child-centered approaches, Agubay hopes to bridge policy and practice so protection efforts become more responsive, inclusive, and grounded in the realities of children and families.
