𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝.

King Hezekiah shows us what it means to bring every difficult situation before the Lord.

2 Kings 19:14-15
“And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.”

2 Kings 20:1-3
“In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, And he said, I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.”

Several times, when life became too heavy, Hezekiah knew exactly where to run.

𝙃𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙.

𝙃𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙.
𝙃𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙.
𝙃𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙.
𝙃𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙.

And God heard him.

Sometimes faith doesn't mean having the strength to handle everything on our own. Sometimes faith is simply knowing where to take what we cannot handle.

When life gets tough, don't run away from God.
Run to Him. Open your situation before Him. Cry if you need to. Pray honestly. Spread it all before the Lord.

Because the God who heard Hezekiah is still the God who hears His people today.

“ɪ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ʜᴇᴀʀᴅ ᴛʜʏ ᴘʀᴀʏᴇʀ, ɪ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ꜱᴇᴇɴ ᴛʜʏ ᴛᴇᴀʀꜱ.” 2 ᴋɪɴɢꜱ 20:5

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐲, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞.

The Book of Malachi was written after Israel returned from exile in Babylon.

The temple had been rebuilt.
Worship had been restored.
The altar was burning.
Sacrifices were being offered.

From the outside, everything looked right.

But God saw something the people could not see: their hearts had changed.

Instead of offering God their best, they brought blind, lame, and sick animals, the sacrifices they no longer wanted.

They were still worshiping, but they were no longer honoring God.

That is why God said in Malachi 1:10:

“Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would not light useless fires on my altar!”

What a sobering statement.

God was saying that empty worship was worse than no worship at all.

The problem was not the absence of worship.
It was the absence of honor.

And the same can happen to us.

We can attend church, sing worship songs, pray, and serve God, yet slowly allow our worship to become routine.

We can give God what costs us the least: rushed prayers, distracted worship, and a faith that has become more of a habit than a relationship.

The altar may still be burning, while the heart is growing cold.

𝑫𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅? 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒖𝒏𝒑𝒍𝒖𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆. 🔌

Sometimes we try to keep going on our own until we have nothing left. We look for strength in people, success, distractions, and busyness, but forget the One who gives us strength in the first place.

Jesus isn’t asking you to struggle harder. He’s inviting you to come back to Him.

𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞.

Elijah had seen the power of God.

He had stood before kings.
He had witnessed fire fall from heaven.
He had seen God answer in ways that left no room for doubt.

And yet, Elijah became weary.

He ran into the wilderness, sat beneath a tree, and one day found himself alone on the mountain exhausted, afraid, empty, and wanted to die.

1 Kings 19:12 "After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper."

Then came a mighty wind.

But God was not in the wind.

Then came an earthquake.

But God was not in the earthquake.

Then came a fire.

But God was not in the fire.

And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

That was where Elijah heard Him.

Sometimes we expect God to speak through the spectacular through the miracle, the breakthrough, the unmistakable sign.

But sometimes, when our hearts are tired and our souls are overwhelmed, God comes differently.

Not in the noise.
Not in the earthquake.
Not in the fire.

But in the quiet.

A still, small voice reminding us:

You are not alone.
I am still here.
Keep going.

The God who reveals Himself in the fire is also the God who speaks in the whisper.

And sometimes, you don’t need another spectacular sign.

His whispers are enough to renew our strength.

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆, 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊

“𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙃𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧, ‘𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜? 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧?’” 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 14:37

There’s something very significant about the way Jesus addressed Peter in this moment.

Jesus could have said, “Peter, are you sleeping?”

But He didn’t.

He said, “Simon, are you sleeping?”

Why?

Because Simon was the man Peter used to be before Christ transformed him.

Simon was impulsive.
Simon was unstable.
Simon was overly confident in his own strength.
Simon was easily led by his emotions.

But Jesus gave him a new identity.

“𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨. 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙, ‘𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙚𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙨’ (𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧).” 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 1:42

Jesus called him Peter because He saw beyond who Simon was. He saw who Simon could become through the grace and power of God.

But now, in Gethsemane, Peter was sleeping when he should have been praying.

And Jesus called him Simon.

It was almost as if Jesus was saying:

“Peter, you’re acting like Simon again.”

And look at what happened after Peter stopped praying.

The old Simon began to surface again.

𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠.
𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙛-𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠.
𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠.
𝙒𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠.

And eventually, Peter denied Jesus.

Peter’s failure didn’t begin in the courtyard.

It began in Gethsemane.

Before Peter denied Jesus publicly, he had already neglected prayer privately.

His greatest problem wasn’t simply that he denied Jesus.

His deeper problem was that he had stopped depending on Jesus.

When Peter stopped praying, Simon started showing up again.

And there is a lesson for every believer:

When we stop praying, we give the flesh room to take back territory that belongs to the Spirit.

Prayer keeps us dependent on God.
Prayer strengthens us when temptation comes.
Prayer keeps our hearts surrendered.
Prayer reminds us that we cannot live the Christian life in our own strength.

You may have been given a new identity in Christ, but if you stop walking with Him, the old patterns can begin to surface again.

So don’t wait until you fall to pray.

Pray before the temptation.
Pray before the battle.
Pray before the pressure comes.

Because when prayer becomes neglected, the flesh becomes louder.

Stay in prayer. Stay dependent. Stay close to Jesus.

Don’t let Simon come back.

𝑱𝑬𝑺𝑼𝑺, 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑪𝑶𝑹𝑵𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑵𝑬 🪨

What does it mean that Jesus is the Cornerstone?

A cornerstone is not merely a foundation stone. It is the stone that establishes the alignment of a structure and joins its parts together. Spiritually, this gives us a profound idea of who Christ is and what He has accomplished.

In Ephesians 2, Paul speaks of two groups that were once separated: Jews and Gentiles. The Gentiles were once “far away,” separated from the covenant and promises given to Israel. But through Christ, those who were far away have been brought near.

Christ is the Cornerstone who brings the two walls together.

𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞.
𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲
𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭

Through His death, Christ broke down the dividing wall of hostility and reconciled both Jew and Gentile to God, He is the One who holds us together and establishes us as God’s household.

Yet the Cornerstone carries a profound dual significance.

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐦, 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐠𝐞.

Christ is our security, our shelter, and our unshakable foundation. When the storms of life come, we can stand because our lives are built upon Him. When everything else shifts, He remains faithful and sure.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐦, 𝐇𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤.

The same Stone that gives security to those who believe becomes an offense to those who refuse to surrender. Christ confronts our pride, self-reliance, and desire to establish our own way. We cannot treat the Cornerstone as optional. Every person must ultimately respond to Him.

The question, then, is not whether Jesus is the Cornerstone.

He already is.

The question is: What will we do with Him?

Will we trust Him as our Refuge, build our lives upon Him, and allow Him to bring down the walls that divide us?

Or will we reject Him and stumble over the very Stone that God appointed?

“For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.”
Ephesians 2:14

“Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone.”
Ephesians 2:20

May Christ remain the Cornerstone of our faith, our lives, and our families. May we find our refuge in Him, our unity through Him, and our identity as one family of God in Him.

Christ is our Refuge when we trust Him, our Cornerstone who unites us, and the Stone over which we stumble when we reject Him.

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐲, 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐘.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

Jesus is the only name given among humanity by which we must be saved.
“There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

And when we respond to the Gospel, Scripture points us to baptism in the name of Jesus Christ:

“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.” Acts 2:38

“They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Acts 8:16

“He commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.” Acts 10:48

Jesus is the way.
Jesus is the truth.
Jesus is the life.
Jesus is the name.
And salvation is found in Him alone.

And through His name, we receive the remission of sins. Acts 2:38 calls us to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Name above every name.
The Name that saves.
The Name that forgives.
The Name that gives new life.

“𝔻𝕠𝕟’𝕥 𝕝𝕖𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕤𝕚𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕖𝕣.”

Genesis 50:20 reminds us that what others may intend for harm, God can use for good.

It’s easy to be good when life is good, when prayers are answered, doors are opening, and everything is going our way. But who are we when life gets hard? Who are we when we’re hurt, disappointed, overlooked, or treated unfairly?

Your situation may change, but your character doesn’t have to.

Choose kindness when it’s difficult. Choose integrity when no one is watching. Choose forgiveness when you have every reason to hold a grudge. Choose faith when you don’t understand what God is doing.

Don’t let a bad season turn you into someone you’re not. Let God use the season to reveal who you truly are and who He is shaping you to become.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good.” Genesis 50:20

Go is a direct command by God to us

IN APOSTLE' GENERATION,
Faith was the basis of their daily walk
Faith was the foundation of their lives
That's why God did miracles through their faith
So, they heal the sick
They made the lame walk

How about to our generation?

IN OUR GENERATION,
We have faith in Jesus
We love Jesus as the apostles did
We worship Him
We praise Him

It seems that what we have is the same as what the apostles had.

But why dont miracles follow?

Because we didnt surrender our "MOST"
We didnt surrender our desires
We didn't surrender our hidden sin
We didnt surrender our will

When the apostles encountered Jesus,
They surrendered it all
Their circumstances,
Their desires,
Their will

So, what is the difference between the apostles' faith and our faith?

The apostles' faith involved surrender,
while ours is faith alone.

Remember,
Faith without work is dead.

Surrendering to God is work.

SURRENDER = WORK

Faith requires surrender, and surrender requires action.
