A Thankful Heart ❤️

Last Saturday, our beloved children reflected on the Gospel story of Jesus healing ten men with leprosy. Through the story, they learned the importance of giving thanks to God for His healing, goodness, and the many blessings He gives us.

As a mission, we desire to nurture this value in the hearts of our children. We want them to discover that even in the midst of difficult circumstances, there are still many reasons to be grateful. A simple “Thank You, Lord” can help us recognize and appreciate the blessings that are already present in our lives.

A thankful heart allows us to see God’s goodness and generosity, whether in the big blessings or in the little things we sometimes take for granted.

During the activity, the children gathered in their small groups and shared the things they were thankful to God for. Our little ones also enjoyed coloring illustrations of the blessings they are praying for, with hearts full of thanksgiving. 🎨😊

It was a beautiful and meaningful time of recognizing God’s goodness. We pray that our children will continue to grow with thankful hearts, learning to see, appreciate, and give thanks for God’s blessings each day. 🙏🏻

Sharing Our Blessings 🙏🏻

Last Saturday, our beloved children gathered for catechism and listened to Manang Cristy share the beautiful story of Elijah and the widow.

Through this story, the children were reminded that even when we have only a little, we can still choose to share. What we have may seem small, but when given with faith and a generous heart, God can use it to bless those in need and provide for us. ❤️

May our children continue to learn that generosity is not measured by how much we give, but by how willing we are to share what we have with love. After the catechism, our children enjoyed a hearty meal lovingly prepared for them. 🍚

We are now on a new talk series at The Feast Bacolod, ENOUGH: A Bible Study on Paul's Letter to the Colossians 📖

Last Saturday was another beautiful reminder of how Jesus looks at us with love. He does not focus on our weaknesses. He sees us as we were created and designed by God, with goodness, strengths, and gifts that we can use to bless others.

In moments when we feel that we are not enough, the Cross reminds us that Jesus is enough. Through Him, we are able to fulfill what God has called us to do.

We were also reminded that the best person for the job isn’t always the most gifted but the most generous, the one who is willing to offer their time, talents, and heart to help build God’s Kingdom here on earth.

As we continued our reflections, we gathered with our Light Groups and also had a special honoring for our August birthday celebrants. 🎂

It was heartwarming to see our youth generously sharing their appreciation and kind words with the celebrants. Through these simple but meaningful expressions of love, may each of them be reminded that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by Jesus through their brothers and sisters in the community.

Indeed, in Jesus, we are loved, we are called, and He is more than enough. 🙏🏻

August Thanksgiving Mass 🙏🏻❤️

Last Saturday, we gathered in gratitude as we celebrated our Thanksgiving Mass, presided over by Fr. Anand Tirkey.

We thank God for all the blessings, provisions, and answered prayers we received throughout the month of August. We are also grateful for the gift of life of our August birthday celebrants. 🎂🎉 May God bless them abundantly and continue to guide them as they journey through another year of life.

During the Mass, we also offered our special prayers and intentions, lifting to God our families, our mission, our beneficiaries, our partners, and all the intentions close to our hearts.

May we always remember to pause, give thanks, and recognize God’s goodness in every season.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and abundant blessings!

Celebrating Life, Love, and Service ✨

Our recent Tuesday Safe Space Fellowship began with a meaningful Birthday Honoring for our August Birthday Celebrants, Manang Mel and Ryja. We thanked God for the gift of their lives and celebrated another year of blessings, growth, and new opportunities to serve. 🎂

After the honoring, we gathered for a meaningful reflection on the life of Mary Magdalene and how Jesus welcomed, loved, and accepted her. In response to His love, Mary chose to follow Jesus and serve Him faithfully. Her story reminded us that when we experience Jesus’ love and acceptance, we are inspired to love and serve others.

We also had time to gather in our Light Groups, separately with the brothers and sisters, where we openly shared some of our struggles and sins. It was a safe space where we could be honest and vulnerable, and we were reminded that we are accepted and loved by our brothers and sisters just as we are. 💙

A simple gathering, but a meaningful reminder: we are loved, accepted, and called to serve. 🙏🏻

Happy Birthday, Manang Mel and Ryja! 🎉 May God continue to bless you both with joy, strength, and a heart always willing to serve.

Last Saturday, our children reflected on the story of Moses and the Burning Bush and learned that God is always with us, even when we feel afraid, uncertain, or unprepared. Moses was afraid to answer God’s call, but he learned to trust and obey Him.

Some of our children also courageously shared their own experiences of overcoming fear. Some shared how they found the courage to take on part-time work at a young age to help with their school needs, while one of the boys shared his experience of serving the Lord as an altar boy. At first, they were afraid because they did not know what to do. But as they learned and gained experience, they realized that they could overcome their fears because God was with them.

After the reflection, our children enjoyed the hearty meals lovingly prepared for them. 🍽️

We were also blessed with a generous surprise delivery of 100 pieces of ice candy for the kids! 🍧

Thank you so much to our dear mission partners for your love, generosity, and continued support of our weekly Feeding Party. Your kindness helps nourish not only the children’s bodies but also their faith, courage, and hope. 🙏🏻

We are also grateful for the presence of our dear friends Pedz, Megz, Cherryl, Alex, and Daryl for serving with us. Together, let us continue bringing God’s love to more children. ❤️

FAITH THAT LEADS TO SERVICE. 🙏🏻❤️

Our recent Tuesday Safe Space brought together our youth and mother servants for a time of fellowship, reflection, and heartfelt sharing.

We went back to the stories we previously reflected on, the friends who carried the paralyzed man to Jesus because of their faith, and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who remained faithful to God even in the midst of great challenges.

These stories led us to look at our own faith journey. We shared how our experiences, struggles, and even moments of weakness have shaped the way we serve in the mission entrusted to us.

Through each story, we were reminded that serving is not always easy, but every challenge can deepen our faith and strengthen our dependence on God. When we give our time, energy, and ourselves to others, our lives become more meaningful because we become instruments of God's love.

May our faith continue to lead us to serve with courage, humility, and love. Faith leads to service, and service becomes a testimony of God's love.

Three Saturdays. One beautiful opportunity to serve. ❤️

On August 1, 8, and 15, we had the privilege of holding our Feeding Fellowship in Sitio Molave, La Carlota.

Beyond sharing meals, these Saturdays gave us the opportunity to connect, bring joy, and remind the community that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Living in a remote area comes with many challenges, and sometimes, what people long for is not only food but also attention, presence, someone who will listen, and someone willing to spend time with them.

This outreach also became another avenue for our youth to serve and see life from a different perspective. They encountered families living in circumstances and facing challenges very different from their own. Yet, even with their own struggles, our youth discovered that they can still give, serve, and be a source of hope to others.

May these encounters teach us to look beyond our own struggles, to be grateful for what we have, and to become more compassionate toward others.

We are grateful for every youth, volunteer, and mission partner who shared their time, presence, and love. May we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing hope and joy to communities that need to be reminded that they are not forgotten.

There is always a way to serve.
