Looking back at a monumental milestone for our community! Last March 26, 2026, the PAMET Negros Occidental Chapter stood tall at the 15th PAMET Visayas Regional Conference held at the La Carmela de Boracay Hotel and Convention Center.

We are still beaming with pride to have been officially recognized as the MOST OUTSTANDING CHAPTER FOR VISAYAS! 🥇 This award serves as a testament to the collective hard work, dedication, and spirit of every MedTech in our province.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT
PAMET – Negros Occidental Chapter

PAMET Negros Occidental stands firm in its advocacy to uphold the integrity, professionalism, and safety of all registered Medical Technologists in the province.

We have been made aware of a recent incident circulating on social media involving allegations against the Bago City Hospital Laboratory regarding the dengue diagnostic test of a pediatric patient. As an organization representing medical laboratory professionals, we find it important to address the matter to protect the dignity of our profession and to clarify the role of medical technologists in ensuring accurate and reliable laboratory results.

On the Accuracy of Laboratory Procedures,
All licensed Medical Technologists adhere to standardized protocols, quality assurance measures, and established laboratory guidelines to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. Variations in results are carefully validated, and no findings are released without thorough verification.

On the Test Results in Question,
It has been reported that the dengue test results from two independent facilities stating that both have the same test results. This demonstrates consistency in laboratory findings and reflects adherence to proper testing procedures by both institutions.

On the Circulation of Accusations Online,
PAMET Negros Occidental strongly discourages the public shaming of healthcare workers on social media. Such actions may cause undue emotional distress, spread misinformation, and damage the reputation of medical professionals who are committed to serving the community.

We encourage concerned individuals to utilize proper avenues for inquiry or complaints, such as hospital management or relevant regulatory bodies, where concerns can be addressed professionally and fairly.

Call for Respect and Responsible Communication,
PAMET Negros Occidental respectfully appeals to the public to practice responsible communication, especially when sharing information online. We extend our support to the medical technologists involved and remind the community that laboratory personnel perform their duties with competence, ethical responsibility, and utmost care.

PAMET Negros Occidental remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of its members while maintaining transparency, professionalism, and service to the community.

For any concerns or clarifications, our organization is open for proper dialogue through appropriate channels.
