Believing in Jesus is easy, but do we still believe in Him when storms come?
There are moments in our life that we felt alone. That Every corner seems to be blocked, opportunities we cannot grasp, commandments we fail to follow, prompting we fail to recognize and a thousand of thoughts that storms in our mind. Days that are so draining, our souls feels dead, nights that we feel so lost, days that we feel so discourage, our fire starts to flicker and our faith is no longer there.
Cycle of problems and confusions does not end.
Why life right now seems to be so unfair.
However, the life of Jesus was also unfair - much more unfair. He got betrayed, He struggled with His flesh, He did not live in a rich household, He also struggled to build His ministry, and then His own creations - His very people led Him to the cross to die. To be honest, He had the power but He chose to surrender it all to God, our heavenly father.
Hebrews 4:15
[15] This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
Our problems and trials that we face makes us question God. Why is He doing this? What did we do to deserve this? Why did He let us feel this? experience this? Why is my prayer is not answered? Why does it seems like I am only feeling this way? Why does this not end? Why did He not stop it? Why God?
The truth is - God did not create you to face your problem all on your own. He did not create you to rely on your selves, for you to find your own ways. When God let His only son die in the cross He did not allow it without a reason but for us to receive that salvation, to become closer to Him and it is still the same reason why we are also experiencing that life is unfair (2 Corinthians 12:9).
But now it's different, because Jesus has finished it upon the cross. In the first place, we were never alone we just don't know how to surrender it all to God.
What made Jesus perfect? it is His character, Himself. The way He calls out to God no matter what happened. If God brought justice to Jesus, why wouldn't He do the same to us. Since Jesus made us become God's children surely God is not an unjust father.
Hebrews 4:16
[16] So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
No matter how big our problems is, whether it is ourselves, our family, our friends, our parents, our children, our co-workers, our partners or even our own relationship with God. God did not create you face this all alone, God right now is calling you to trust Him for He will do the rest. Whatever His plan is surely He will make a way.
Where everything is dark, lost and heavy - Jesus is the light. His word will guide you and give you peace.
He right now waiting for you to come in His arms.
Surrender.
