To safeguard the community, the University is ๐œ๐จ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐๐ ๐‚๐ฒ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง and is prepared to pursue all appropriate legal and administrative remedies under the ๐‚๐ฒ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐€๐œ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ 2012 (๐‘๐€ 10175) and existing institutional policies.

In response, a ๐’๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐š๐ซ๐ has been constituted to oversee the Universityโ€™s actions, document harmful content, coordinate with law enforcement, and provide guidance to affected individuals.

The University calls on all members of the community to ๐ž๐ฑ๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ž ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐œ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ, refrain from engaging with or sharing content from unauthorized sources, and ๐ซ๐ž๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ฆ๐š๐ฒ ๐š๐ข๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ง๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง to the appropriate University offices. On January 17, the University of Negros Occidentalโ€“Recoletos Supreme Student Government Organization (UNORSSGO) released a press statement regarding the long-standing tradition of the Block Master List (BML). In their statement, UNORSSGO expressed its official stand of โ€œNo to BML,โ€ while also emphasizing that the final decision on its implementation is under the jurisdiction of each College Council.

Following careful deliberations, thorough scrutiny, and constructive dialogue, the College Councils have arrived at the following decisions:

Five (5) colleges have voted in favor of reinstating the Block Master List (BML):

College of Criminal Justice Education

College of Business and Accountancy

College of Information Technology

College of Education

College of Engineering

Meanwhile, two (2) colleges have voted against the implementation of BML:

College of Arts and Sciences

College of Allied Medical Health Sciences

The colleges that voted against the BML will implement alternative programs aligned with their respective academic and organizational goals. These alternative initiatives are designed to complement existing activities and ensure that students from these colleges are equally engaged alongside other colleges.
