GROWING ROOTS, GROWING SERVICE 🌱🌊
The Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod Outfit 075, in collaboration with the Girl Scouts of the Philippines – CSA-B Chapter, Student Affairs Organization (SAO), and Augustinian Youth in Action (AYA) Club, conducted its annual Mangrove Growing and Coastal Clean-Up Activity in Brgy. Sampinit, Bago City.
Through this yearly initiative, students came together to plant mangrove seedlings and learn about the vital role mangroves play in protecting coastal communities and marine ecosystems. The hands-on activity allowed them to appreciate these natural coastal protectors while strengthening their commitment to environmental stewardship.
The mangrove-growing activity was followed by a coastal clean-up, where students worked together to collect waste along the shoreline and help restore the cleanliness and beauty of the coastal area.
More than planting mangroves and cleaning the coast, the activity fostered service, leadership, teamwork, and care for our common home—values that continue to guide the CSA-B community.
Together, we grow not only mangroves, but also young people ready to serve, lead, and make a difference. 🌱💙
Growing roots. Inspiring action. Serving the community.
