STEPPING OUT IN STRENGTHENED FAITH

📖”Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” ~James 1:2-3

The same way as the muscles are built through resistance is also the same way as our faith is built through trials.

James 1:2-3 was written to believers scattered and persecuted. The word for “trials” here is peirasmos in Greek, it means a “test that proves the quality of something.”

The Greek word for perseverance is hypomonē, “to remain under the weight.” God is not training you to escape pressure. He’s training you to carry weight.

That anxiety, that financial pressure, that closed door, that waiting season. It’s resistance training.

In the physical gym, we don’t complain about the weight. We understand the weight is what builds us. God doesn’t waste the weights of this life, they strengthen our walk with Him.

Let’s train this week! exercise your faith by praying before you create, obeying God even when it doesn’t make sense, fasting from comparison and compliments, and giving your best work as worship unto an audience of one, Our Father in Heaven!

A quick sketch in Makati to test a new pen.

Sad to say the ink is not waterproof, so I cant lay colors on it. But I love how smooth the nib glides on the paper.
