was founded in 1995 in Iloilo City. In 2000, the 1st National Cave Congress was held in Nueva Vizcaya, and the Philippine Caving Society was formed, WVCA is one of the founding club. After the 2nd Cave Congress which was held in Escalante City, Negros Occidental in 2001, the Bacolod Grotto of WVCA was established. During the implementation of Republic Act 9072 in 2008, also known as the Cave Law,

DENR Region VI formed the Regional Cave Committee, having WVCA as its member together with the National Museum, and the Mines and Geoscience Bureau. Today, WVCA has explored more than 200 caves in Panay and Negros island, assessed and categorized more than 30 caves. WVCA still stands as one of the most prolific club in terms of Cave Mapping in the country. In Negros, WVCA trained local cave guides in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Office, invited as instructors for Vertical Rescue Technique by different rescue groups, and organized the annual Trek Underground, an environmental caving camp that promote and teaches cave conservation and safety to newbie cavers. member: DENR Regional Cave Committee, Region 6. member: Philippine Speleological Society, Inc.
