𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐭. 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩

The St. Augustine Scholarship Contest gathered students from each department for a competition that carried both prestige and life-changing opportunities, held at the Colegio San Agustin - Bacolod Auditorium, Feb. 13.

The program aimed to promote awareness and deepen the understanding of St. Augustine’s life and influence, ultimately rewarding outstanding participants with scholarship grants, with the grand champion receiving a full scholarship and the runners-up receiving progressively smaller percentages of the full award based on their placement.

The Champion title was secured by a representative from the College of Health and Allied Professions (CHAP), earning the coveted full scholarship and marking a proud and memorable victory, followed by the First Runner-Up claimed by a different representative from CHAP, the Second Runner-Up was clinched by a representative of the Basic Education Department – Junior High School (BED-JHS), and bagging Third Runner-Up is yet another CHAP representative.

In January 24, 2026, a fire incident struck Brgy. 10, leaving several families displaced and in urgent need of support.

In response, the Community Engagement Program Office (CEPO) is calling on our community to extend help through cash and in-kind donations to assist the affected families as they begin to rebuild and recover.

Every contribution, big or small, can help restore hope and dignity to those affected. Thank you for your generosity and continued support. 🤍🙏

: CSAB proudly joined the Negros Economic Development Foundation (NEDF) in commemorating its 55th Founding Anniversary, affirming its continued commitment to community service and expressing interest in forging meaningful partnerships.

CSAB was represented during the celebration by VPAA Randdie Cuelo, Community Engagement Program Office (CEPO) Head Altha Gracia Diopido, and OVPAFRAM Staff Reann Vasquez. CSAB’s presence in the event signified the school’s solidarity with NEDF’s long-standing mission and its openness to future collaborations in education, outreach, and sustainable development.

The event, held at the NEDF farm in Brgy. Handumanan, gathered government and non-government leaders and stakeholders from various sectors to honor the foundation’s achievements over the past five and a half decades. Leading the celebration were NEDF BOT Chairperson Ramon Ponde De Leon, and Vice Chairperson Ma. Mercedes Joson, President Wilhelmina Gonzales, and Executive Director Rose Depra, who collectively expressed deep gratitude for the support of government, private, and institutional partners.

The CSAB delegation held informal discussions with NEDF leadership on areas for potential partnership, including community extension and outreach programs, service-learning opportunities for students, research and training collaborations, and co-hosting of educational and advocacy events.

As CSAB continues to expand its social involvement and academic engagement, the event marks a step toward a sustainable partnership with NEDF, rooted in shared values and the vision of inclusive and sustainable progress for Negros Island Region.

The 55th Founding Anniversary of NEDF stands as both a celebration of legacy and a call to collective action -- one that CSAB is more than ready to answer.

We call on the Augustinian community to extend their support through donations—big or small—as we work together to bring relief, hope, and compassion to the families and communities affected by Tropical Cyclone "Crising,"

We are accepting donations of the following items:
🥫 Ready-to-eat food (canned goods, noodles, biscuits)
🧻Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, sanitary pads, etc.)
👚Clean clothes and blankets
💰 For monetary donations, you may send via GCASH –
Altha Gracia P. Diopido (0945 607 4108) or personally hand it to the Community Engagement Program Office.

📍 Drop-off point: CSA-B Front gate or at CEP Office, 3rd Floor, Students' Center.

The Cardinals gathered in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel have elected Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the 267th Pope, who took the name Pope Leo XIV.

The entire Augustinian community joins the Universal Church in mourning the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis. His compassion, commitment to mercy, and call to go to the peripheries have profoundly inspired our mission of evangelization through education. We entrust his soul to the mercy of God, grateful for his life of humble service and prophetic witness.

Eternal rest grant unto Pope Francis, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all our faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
