Yesterday, April 23, 2026, the University of Negros Occidental - Recoletos Senior High School (SHS) department convened a curriculum review at the President’s Hall in response to the newly implemented Strengthened Senior High School (SSHS) Curriculum. The program commenced with an opening prayer led by Mr. Ernesto Aninacion, Jr., followed by Mr. Harry Magluyan’s, MAEd, opening remarks, who highlighted the event’s role in equipping future students for academic excellence.
Following this, Mr. John Lloyd Belbar delivered the acknowledgment of participants, recognizing the presence of continuing Grade 12 students from STEM-AMH, STEM-EIT, HUMSS, and ABM-TVL strands, as well as SHS alumni, faculty and staff, and parents, whose collective engagement contributed to the success of the event. Building on these collaborative exchanges, Mr. Joseph Karl Tatlonghari, MAEd, presented a comprehensive synthesis of the insights gathered, with representatives from the ABM-TVL, HUMSS, STEM-AMH, STEM-EIT, Research, and CommLang clusters sharing their insights that reflect the institution’s shared aspirations for its academic future.
