PCGA - 1308th Squadron, Negros Occidental

LOOK: The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 1308th Squadron led by Coast Guard Auxiliary District Southern Visayas director AUX RADM DANNYL N YAP, together with 1308th Squadron Director for Community Relations AUX CAPT RAMEL Y UY, and 1308th Squadron Deputy for Special Projects AUX LT CMDR ROSTAN CHRIS ABELLANA turnover the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment to the Command and Admiral Staff College (CASC) of the Philippine Coast Guard.

The turnover ceremony was held last March 20, 2026 at the National Government Administrative Center, New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac.

The ICT resources will significantly support CASC’s mission to deliver quality education and enhance the learning environment of its students—ensuring access to modern, reliable technology in an era of evolving maritime challenges.

PCGA 1308TH SQUADRON DONATES EQUIPMENT TO PCG IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 1308th Squadron led by District Auxiliary Director Southern Visayas, AUX RADM Dannyl Yap, together with AUX CAPT Ramel Uy, and AUX LCDR Rostan Chris Abellana led the donation of equipment to Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental last Friday, March 13.

AUX CAPT Ramel Uy of the PCGA 1308th Squadron led the turnover of 1 QLed TV, one Rubber Boat with 30 Horsepower outboard motor, and two window-type aircon units.

CG CMDR Artzell Anacan, commander of Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental is thankful of the donation given by the squadron, particularly the Rubber Boat, as it would help them in their rescue operations in the villages in their jurisdiction during times of heavy flooding.

PCGA 1308TH HOLDS YEAR END ASSESSMENT

The 1308th Squadron of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary in Negros Occidental held its Year End Assessment, Sunday evening, December 14.

The activity was led by Coast Guard Auxiliary District Southern Visayas (CGADSV) director AUX RADM DANNYL YAP, and 1308th Squadron commander AUX CAPT NENIA YAP.

Also in attendance are Coast Guard District Southern Visayas (CGDSV) director COMMO CHRISTOPHER AURO, PCG and Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGSNNOC) station commander CMDR ARTZELLE ANACAN, PCG.

The Year End Assessment activity aims to promote camaraderie and fellowship among members of the squadron, as well as to present to the CGDSV the accomplishments made by the 1308th Squadron in 2025.

1308TH SQUADRON HOLDS MEDICAL MISSION IN MINA, ILOILO

The 1308th Auxiliary Squadron of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) based in Negros Occidental held a Medical and Dental mission earlier today in the town of Mina in neighboring Iloilo province.

The auxiliary squadron was led by Coast Guard Auxiliary District Southern Visayas (CGADSV) director AUX RADM DANNYL YAP and Squadron commander AUX CAPT NENIA YAP.

Also providing asssistance to the Medical and Dental Mission are personnel from the Coast Guard District Western Visayas (CGDWV) Medical Service, and the Philippine Red Cross, while the supply of medicines was made possible through the efforts of AUX CAPT RAMEL UY.

The free Medical and Dental Mission is aimed at giving much needed health services, especially to the town's poorest residents.

Aside from Blood Sugar Tests and dental check ups, the beneficiaries were also able to enjoy a free hot meal.
