Negros Cultural Foundation, Inc. marks
39th anniversary
Lyn B. Gamboa, President of the Negros Cultural Foundation, Inc. led the celebration of the foundation’s 39th anniversary held at the Negros Museum on March 28, 2026.
She was with Tanya Lopez, NCFI Director and Charles Lahti, Visual Arts and Printmaker joined her during the press conference highlighting the celebration.
She said, “Today, we gather to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the Negros Cultural Foundation, Inc. Time truly flies — it feels like just yesterday we were celebrating our 36th year with the Pagdayaw Awards. And yet, here we are, stronger and more committed than ever.”
As I often say, I can hardly believe how far we've come. This milestone is not simply a measure of time - it is a testament to the people who continue to believe in our mission and in the work we do for the community of Negros.
It is because of your support that the arts and culture in our province have not only survived, but thrived.
In today's world, where understanding and empathy are more important than ever, instilling in our children and youth an appreciation for culture, heritage, and the arts from the very beginning is essential.
When we nurture their love for their own traditions, while also fostering respect for other cultures, we help cultivate a generation that values creativity, connection, and compassion.
As we celebrate our 39th year, we continue to cherish, preserve, and share the arts, culture, history, and heritage of Negros — building on the foundation laid by those who came before us and inspiring the generations who will carry this legacy forward.
