โThe Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants of the University of Negros OccidentalโRecoletos (UNO-R JPIA) delivered an outstanding performance at the Negros Occidental Federation (NECONFED) Annual Congress 2026, awarded at Planta Hotel, March 22.

โThe three-day congress brought together accountancy students from across the province for a series of academic, cultural, literary, and sports events. Activities kicked off on Day 1 with the Accounting Summit and cultural competitions at Benjamin Hall. Day 2 featured sports and literary contests hosted at the University of St. La Salle (USLS), while Day 3 culminated in the Year-End Awards and the prestigious NECONFED Icon event.

โUNO-R JPIA emerged as one of the top-performing chapters, earning major recognitions during the Year-End Awards. Novie Santocildes was named Most Outstanding Local Chapter President, while UNO-R JPIA secured awards for Most Outstanding Local Chapter in both Academics and Non-Academics, as well as being recognized as the Most Active Local Chapter.

โIn the cultural category, UNO-R JPIA showcased exceptional talent, clinching Champion in Declamation and finishing as 1st Runner-Up in both Vocal Solo and Dance Battle. The chapter also participated in Extemporaneous Speaking and the NECONFED Icon competition.

โThe group also made its mark in literary events, achieving 1st Runner-Up in Policy Proposal Writing and participating in Essay Writing, Editorial Writing, and the Infographic and Visual Storytelling Contest. These efforts contributed to their overall 2nd Runner-Up finish in the Litmus category.

โUNO-R JPIAโs dominance was most evident in sports, where they were hailed as Overall Champion. The team secured 1st Runner-Up in Menโs Volleyball, 2nd Runner-Up in Womenโs Volleyball, and 1st Runner-Up in Menโs 3x3 Basketball. They also placed 2nd Runner-Up in Dodgeball, solidifying their lead in the sports category.
Further strengthening the chapterโs recognition, JPIA students from UNO-R was also honored as the NECONFED Most Outstanding Executive Committee, represented by Dorothy Faith Bailon, Harriane Mae Gonzales, and Algoela Pitogo.

โ"I still feel overwhelmed by these achievements, and honestly, it feels like a dream come true. They mean so much to me and to the organization because they reflect all the hard work, dedication, and effort that everyone poured into this event," Novie Santocildes said, President of UNO-R JPIA. She also expressed immense pride in the players and participants for representing JPIA with excellence, and extended her gratitude to the officers who served as her constant support system throughout the journey. Santocildes highlighted that the victories are shared by everyone who contributed, underscoring the unity and strong sense of camaraderie within the chapter.
