District 2 Binalbagan, CHICKS Soar to Victories in PICE NOC Basketball Cup 2026 Season 2, Day 2

BACOLOD CITY, May 30, 2026 — Excitement filled the court at the Bacolod Arts Center, Bacolod City National High School, as teams battled fiercely during the second playing day of the PICE NOC Basketball Cup 2026 Season 2. Civil Engineers from different districts showcased not only their technical expertise off the court but also their athletic talents in two thrilling basketball encounters.

In the first game of the day, Team District 2 Binalbagan controlled most of the matchup against Team Central, eventually securing a 66-58 victory. Binalbagan came out strong in the first quarter, building a significant early lead through disciplined ball movement and efficient scoring. Team Central responded with determination in the second quarter, slowly cutting into the deficit and showing resilience despite a noticeable age disadvantage compared to their younger opponents. Even so, Binalbagan maintained the upper hand heading into halftime. The game remained competitive in the second half, with both teams exchanging runs. Team Central continued to fight hard, relying on experience and effort to stay within striking distance, but Binalbagan’s depth and consistency allowed them to stay ahead through the fourth quarter and close out the win.

The second game featured a showdown between Team 4th District from Bago City (The Forth) and Team 3rd District (CHICKS). The game was tightly contested early, with both teams finishing the first and second quarters tied on the scoreboard, showing equal intensity on both ends of the floor. However, in the third quarter, Team CHICKS broke the deadlock with a strong offensive surge, building momentum and gradually widening the gap. Their improved ball movement and defensive pressure slowed down The Forth, allowing CHICKS to pull away and maintain control up to the final buzzer, securing a 67-52 victory.
