Someone once asked me, โWhat is your ministry?โ
I smiled and said, โCleaning the church.โ
They froze for a moment, maybe surprised, maybe wondering if that even counts as a ministry.
But I continued, โYes, cleaning the church. Because even in the smallest things, we can glorify God.โ
You see, not everyone is called to preach on stage, lead worship, or hold a microphone. Some are called to sweep the floor, arrange the chairs, or wipe the dust from the altar. Yet, in Godโs eyes, all of these are acts of worship when done with a sincere heart.
The Kingdom of God is not built by titles or recognition, but by obedience and humility. Every little thing we do for Him, seen or unseen, carries eternal value.
Jesus Himself said in Matthew 23:11,
"The greatest among you will be your servant.โ
And in Colossians 3:23โ24, we are reminded,
โWhatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.โ
So, whether you preach, sing, teach, or clean, do it with joy. Because the Lord sees your heart. The world may overlook the small acts, but heaven takes notice of every humble service done in love.
Never underestimate your ministry.
Even a broom in the hands of a faithful servant can be an instrument of worship.
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.โ - 1 Corinthians 10:31
