In Photos | Review and Revision of the Draft of the Local Code for Children

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Bacacay, conducted the review and revision of the Draft Local Code for Children. The activity aimed to strengthen policies and programs that uphold and protect the rights and welfare of every child in the municipality.

Through collaborative discussions and valuable insights from participants, the draft code was further enhanced to ensure that it remains responsive to the needs, concerns, and aspirations of Bacacay's children.

The Bacacy Children’s Organization proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Trisha Shane Bermundo Lunas, Trisha Kate Bellen Boncolmo, and Maria Angelica Basillan for representing our municipality at the 5th Albay Children’s Summer Camp 2026, organized by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Albay in partnership with the Albay Children’s Organization (ACO).

Your active participation, enthusiasm, and commitment throughout the camp showcased the potential and leadership of the young people of Bacacay. Thank you for representing our municipality with pride and excellence.

We also congratulate Aaron James Suico, President of the Bacacay Children’s Organization, for being elected as the Alternative Secretary of the Albay Children’s Organization. Your achievement reflects your dedication to serving and empowering fellow children and youth across the province.

Likewise, we commend Earl Arthem Basilla for serving as one of the camp facilitators. Your hard work and commitment helped make the event a meaningful and memorable experience for all participants.

Your achievements continue to inspire the youth of Bacacay and bring honor to our community. We are proud of all of you and look forward to seeing your continued growth as young leaders and changemakers.

Last Saturday, the Bacacay Children Organization successfully held its National Children’s Month Celebration. The program commenced with the Philippine National Anthem and an opening prayer.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who make this event meaningful and successful and to respected guests:
•Hon. Lara C. Romano, Municipal Councilor and Chairman on Women, Children, and Family, delivered inspiring messages.

Participants recited the Panatang Makabata, and the 2025 BCO Officers — led by President Aaron James Suico, Vice President Trisha Shane Lunas, and other appointed officers also took their Oath Taking. Aaron James Suico also provided an overview of the significance of National Children’s Month, while Maedilyn Balean the BCO Treasurer, read the event guidelines. The day included activities, a singing competition with the SNED(Special Needs Education), and a highlight advocacy video presentation for the contest "OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan ng Bata, Ipaglaban". Trisha Shane Lunas delivered closing remarks, officially ending a meaningful celebration focused on advancing child rights, protection, empowerment, and Special Needs Education (SNE).

The OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan ng Bata, Ipaglaban Advocacy Video Contest, brought to you by the Bacacay Children’s Organization! 🎬 Gather your friends, form a team of 10–15 members, and create a heartfelt video promoting children’s rights and safety.

Just a few friendly reminders:
1. The theme must revolve around “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan ng Bata, Ipaglaban.”
2. All participants must be residents of the municipality of Bacacay and below 17 years old.
3. The advocacy video should run not less than 3 minutes and not more than 4 minutes. Exceeding the 4-minute limit will result in a 1-point deduction from the total score.
4. The concept must be original and not plagiarized.
5. Each team must have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 members, including actors, directors, camera operators, and scriptwriters.
6. The language may be Filipino, English, or both. The use of vulgar or offensive words is strictly prohibited.
7. Teams may use props and appropriate materials, except fire or breakable items.
8. Background music, sound effects, or songs may be used.
9. Entries must be submitted via Google Drive to our FB page Bacacay Children’s Organization three (3) days before December 12, 2025.
