Service beyond the classroom ✨️

In the spirit of service, several faculty members of Baao Community College, led by the Office of the National Service Training Program, successfully held community outreach and data-gathering activities at Ilian, San Nicolas, Iriga City, Camarines Sur.

As part of the outreach, we served hot meal for the community, prepared fun and engaging games especially for the kids, gave simple yet meaningful gifts to the elders and participants, and played Santaren with the locals — spreading joy and fostering a deeper sense of connection with the community.

We were also honored to be accompanied by representatives from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), whose presence and assistance helped ensure a meaningful and respectful engagement with the Agta Tabangnon community.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following:

the Agta Tabangnon chieftain, Sir Romeo, for the warm welcome and accommodation,

our partner-organization, Tarabangan Bicol Disaster Volunteer Network, for their support in this activity,

our generous sponsor, Ms. Kate Bisenio, for extending help to our team, and

our college administrator, Ms. Maricel Peñero, for the unwavering support.
