‎𝗕𝗖𝗖-𝗖𝗥𝗖𝗬𝗖 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 2026, 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗦𝗖

‎The Baao Community College – Red Cross Youth Council (BCC-CRCYC) was happy to take part in the Arts of Heart 2026 Valentine’s Day Celebration, in collaboration with the Supreme Student Council (SSC), held on February 13, 2026, at the Baao Community College Campus. The event was a simple but meaningful way to show care, teamwork, and community service through small acts of giving.
‎
‎A total of 44 volunteers from BCC-CRCYC joined hands to help make the celebration run smoothly. The volunteers were divided into specialized committees and went through several planning meetings to ensure that every detail was carefully prepared and well-coordinated. The Food Committee prepared warm and comforting goto, made with care to be shared with everyone after the Zumba session and mesa, hoping to bring a little warmth and comfort to each participant. The Serving Committee gladly distributed the meals, making sure everyone got a warm snack. The Marshalls Committee quietly kept things safe and organized by guiding participants, monitoring the gates, and managing the crowd. Meanwhile, the Medical Committee stayed ready to provide first aid to anyone who needed it.

‎Through these small acts, our volunteers helped create a celebration filled with care, unity, and kindness. We are grateful for the chance to serve our campus community and share the spirit of compassion that Red Cross Youth values most.

𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲
𝗔 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲
𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀

On the same day as the Arts of Heart 2026 celebration, the Baao Community College – Red Cross Youth Council (BCC-CRCYC) quietly prepared a small surprise for our adviser, Sir John Paul Aquino, and his co-adviser, Sir Jericko Magistrado.

Behind every successful activity, meeting, and service project, there are mentors who guide us patiently even when things become challenging. As a council, we wanted to pause for a moment and recognize the people who stand behind us, support us, and believe in us even when we doubt ourselves.

The entire council worked together to prepare a simple token of appreciation. It was not extravagant, but it carried the gratitude of every member. Both Sir John Paul Aquino and Sir Jericko Magistrado have shown us what steady leadership looks like being present, listening, correcting us when needed, and encouraging us to grow. They remind us that leadership is not about authority, but about responsibility and heart.

Through their guidance, we learned to serve with sincerity. Through their patience, we learned to improve. Through their trust, we learned to believe in our own capabilities. The council that stands today is shaped not only by activities and events, but by the quiet lessons they continuously teach us.

This simple surprise was our way of saying thank you, for the time you give, for the understanding you show, and for never giving up on us. We may not always say it, but we truly appreciate everything you do for BCC-CRCYC.

‎TinagbaFestival2026 | 𝗕𝗖𝗖-𝗖𝗥𝗖𝗬𝗖 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — February 11, 2026, Iriga City
‎
‎The streets of Iriga City came alive once again for the Tinagba Festival 2026. Rain or shine, the service had to continue. A total of 16 BCC-CRCYC volunteers were deployed for this year's festival, working hand-in-hand with volunteers from different councils to make sure everyone stayed safe.
‎
‎The day started way before sunrise. 5 of us were already at the site for the briefing while it was still dark. We were stationed right in front of BDO, serving as a quick-response post. We weren’t just standing there; we had to be ready for any immediate first aid or fast extrication while the parade was moving along the route.
‎
‎By the afternoon, the rest of the 11 volunteers arrived. After another briefing and grouping, we were split up—some were assigned to the Extrication team while most of us went to our treatment station.
‎
‎When the performances started, things really picked up. Even with the rain, the dancers from different schools gave their absolute best. You could see they were really pushing their limits, and because of that, it was non-stop work for us as many started to collapse from exhaustion. Our extrication team had to move fast, pulling patients out of the crowd and rushing them straight to our treatment tent. Once they were in the station, we were busy checking vital signs like BP and pulse rates to monitor them, making sure every patient was documented properly through PCRs while being treated.

‎It was a long, wet, and tiring shift, but seeing how the team worked together with the other councils was great. No one was left unattended, and we're just glad we could help the dancers finish their routines safely. Great job to the whole team!

‎The Baao Community College – Red Cross Youth Council (BCC-CRCYC) actively rendered service during the Math Festival, held on January 31, 2026 at the Baao Community College Campus. This activity showcased the organization’s continuous commitment to supporting academic-related events that promote learning, critical thinking, and student engagement.

With the support of 6 dedicated volunteers, the BCC-CRCYC ensured a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment during the Math Festival. Through their active assistance and readiness to serve, the volunteers helped the event run smoothly while encouraging students to confidently participate, enjoy, and appreciate the fun and relevance of mathematics.

Learning thrives in a safe and supportive space. Through service, teamwork, and dedication, we continue to support meaningful academic initiatives and strengthen the spirit of cooperation within the BCC community.

‎The Baao Community College – Red Cross Youth Council (BCC-CRCYC) actively participated and rendered service during the Health Symposium with SDRRM & School Clinic, held on January 30, 2026 at the Baao Community College Campus. This meaningful activity emphasized the importance of health awareness, preparedness, and prevention within the school community.

‎With the support of 10 dedicated volunteers, the BCC-CRCYC worked hand in hand with partner offices to help promote a safer, healthier, and more informed campus.

Through shared knowledge and active engagement, students were encouraged to take part in building a culture of wellness, readiness, and care for one another.
‎Health is a shared responsibility. By strengthening collaboration, awareness, and service, we continue to move towards a more resilient and health-conscious BCC community.

‎The Baao Community College – Red Cross Youth Council (BCC-CRCYC) participated in the BCC–NSTP Blood Letting Activity, in collaboration with BMC, held on February 2, 2026 at the Baao Community College Campus. This initiative served as a meaningful platform to promote humanitarian service and raise awareness on the importance of voluntary blood donation as a life-saving act.

A total of 23 BCC-CRCYC volunteers were mobilized to support and assist the activity by helping in donor guidance, queue facilitation, documentation assistance, and coordination support as needed. Their role focused on providing assistance to ensure a smooth, safe, and well-organized flow of the blood letting activity in coordination with the organizing partners.

‎Beyond logistical support, the presence of the volunteers also helped encourage participation and foster a sense of unity, compassion, and social responsibility among students, faculty, and staff. The blood letting activity not only contributed to saving lives but also strengthened the spirit of volunteerism within the BCC community.
‎Through collective action and selfless service, we continue to uphold the core values of the Red Cross Youth—humanity, compassion, and readiness to serve those in need.

This activity highlighted the organization’s commitment to promoting mental health awareness, care, and well-being within the college community.

‎Through active participation and dedicated service, the BCC-CRCYC helped foster a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where students were encouraged to prioritize their mental health, express themselves openly, and seek help without fear or stigma.
‎Mental health is just as important as physical health. By strengthening awareness, empathy, and understanding, we continue to build not only healthier individuals but also a more resilient and caring BCC community.
