-drawing events by organizing the Cebu Boardriding Festival to be held on September 22-25, 2016 at Poblacion, Sitio Looc, Lawis, Argao, Cebu. Cebu Boardriding Festival is 4-day event which showcases different talents and skills in boardriding such as Skimboarding, Skateboarding and Longboarding. The event will also be highlighting the environmental activities and helping uplift the socio-economic conditions of the community such as Coastal Clean-up, Mangrove Planting, community services, feeding programs and outreach projects. It is considered as one of the biggest boardriding event in the Cebu where hundreds of local and foreign participants and spectators are expected to come thus boosting the tourist arrivals and economic activities within a wide radius of the event area. Musicians and artists are also invited to provide live onstage performances during the event. OBJECTIVES
• To support the town's tourism industry through the promotion of its tourist destination/s that will be featured before, during and after the event.
• To increase economic activities through the accommodation in establishments, restaurants and other related enterprise.
• To help uplift the socio-economic conditions of the community that is directly and indirectly in-volved in all tourism activities.
• To inculcate everyone about environmental consciousness.
• To promote a sport that is not just a hobby but a skill to be nurtured and to be used as a tourist at-traction.
• To promote Lawis Point as one of the best spot in playing skimboard.
• To improve skills in event management.
• To mold and enhance the potential of individual that shows his interests in sports.
