🇵🇭 𝗕𝗨𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗔 | 𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗔 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡, 𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗜 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡!

Sa bawat salitang ating binibigkas, sinusulat, at ibinabahagi, buhay ang ating kultura at pagkakakilanlan. 🇵🇭

Ngayong Agosto, ipinagdiriwang natin ang 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮—isang paalala na ang wikang Filipino ay higit pa sa mga salita. Ito ay bahagi ng ating kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkakaisa bilang isang bansa.

Opisyal na itinatag ang pagdiriwang sa bisa ng 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗴. 𝟭𝟬𝟰𝟭, na nilagdaan noong Hulyo 15, 1997, ni dating Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos.

Habang papalapit ang pagtatapos ng Buwan ng Wika ngayong 2026, bitbitin natin ang diwa nito kahit tapos na ang Agosto. Gamitin, pahalagahan, at ipagmalaki natin ang sariling wika—sa paaralan, sa komunidad, at maging sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay.

Dahil ang pagiging kabataan ay hindi lamang tungkol sa paghubog ng kinabukasan—kasama rin dito ang 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻.

Today, we remember Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., whose courage, conviction, and sacrifice helped shape the course of our nation’s history. His legacy is not only found in the past—it lives on in every Filipino who chooses to stand for truth, defend democracy, and work toward a better future.

Ngayong August 9, ipinagdiriwang natin ang National Indigenous Peoples Day—isang araw upang kilalanin, igalang, at ipagmalaki ang kultura, karapatan, at kontribusyon ng ating Indigenous Peoples. 🪶

Hindi lang ito tungkol sa tradisyon, kasuotan, sayaw, at wika. Ito rin ay tungkol sa pagprotekta sa kanilang lupang ninuno, kultura, at karapatan.

Ang kultura ay hindi lamang bahagi ng nakaraan—ito ay buhay na pamana at bahagi ng ating pagkakakilanlan. 🤎

Atin ang pamana. Atin ang responsibilidad na ingatan ito.

There were times in our lives when we dreamed of going to UP—to become an Iskolar ng Bayan. Now, we have reached the final stage of that dream as we take the UPCAT to turn it into reality.
‎
Just know that dreams come true when we put in dedication and have confidence in ourselves. Shade those numbers with trust, and believe in your capabilities, because in that exam room, it’s all up to you. Always remember, after the exam, to accept whatever the result may be and be grateful for the opportunity to take the UPCAT.

We hope that more HangkilANS will continue to the next chapter of their lives after high school in the top university of the country—the University of the Philippines.

As we commemorate the 10𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 2016 𝗔𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, we reflect on a landmark decision that reaffirmed the principles of international law and upheld the sovereign rights of the Republic of the Philippines under the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮 (𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦). The tribunal conclusively ruled that China's "nine-dash line" claim has no legal basis under international law, affirming that such claims cannot supersede the maritime entitlements established by UNCLOS. Furthermore, the ruling recognized the Philippines' exclusive sovereign rights within its 200-nautical-mile Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), including its authority to explore, develop, conserve, and manage the natural resources within these maritime areas. This historic decision stands as a testament to the effectiveness of the rule of law in the peaceful settlement of international disputes and reinforces the importance of respecting established legal norms among nations.

‎The Arbitral Tribunal likewise determined that China's interference with Philippine petroleum exploration and traditional fishing activities, particularly in the vicinity of Scarborough Shoal, constituted a violation of the Philippines' sovereign rights. It further held that China's extensive land reclamation and artificial island-building activities caused severe and irreversible harm to the marine environment, contrary to its obligations under international law.

As we honor this significant milestone, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting awareness of our nation's sovereign rights, fostering respect for international law, and encouraging responsible stewardship of our maritime resources. May this anniversary inspire every Filipino, especially the youth, to remain informed, united, and steadfast in upholding the values of justice, peace, and national integrity for generations to come. 🩵🇵🇭
