Last Saturday, August 29, our newest recruits officially began their Scouting journey during the General Orientation. In the morning, they learned about the core values, principles, and spirit of Scouting while getting to know their fellow scouts.
In the afternoon, the new scouts got hands-on as they learned basic Senior Scouting skills, including rope work and lashing for building and securing structures, semaphore for sending messages through hand signals and flags, and compass reading for learning how to navigate and find directions.
From learning the basics to putting their skills into practice, our new scouts took their first steps toward becoming prepared, responsible, and capable members of the Scouting family. The adventure has officially begun! โ๏ธ
