𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐝.

“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”— Psalms 95:1-2

Worship extends beyond singing, dancing, or lifting our hands in praise—it is a lifestyle carried by every christians. Our lives should be a life of worship. And we can do that by knowing who we worship.

It is easier to worship God if we know who is God, what he has done in our lives, and what is yet to be done. The people that wholehearthedly worship God is the people that know that He is capable of the things that are too impossible in other people’s eyes. The deeper we know God, the deeper that we worship Him.

We worship Him because:
1. He is the God who is great
2. He is the God who is faithful
3. He is the God who is powerful

Being all-out in worship can be embarrassing for others. David’s wife posits the same reaction when he is giving his all for the Lord. We must not let the judgement of others dictate the level on how you worship God.

Ignorance in the Word of God can be a factor to the absence of worship. In John 4:22, the samaritan’s ignorance to the Word resulted in partial understanding of God. He worships what he do not know.

God wants us to be intimate and know Him. The God we serve and we worship is the God that loves connection. If we truly have a relationship with the Lord, worshiping Him would not be hard for us. Creating a relationship with Him is only possible because of his faithfulness and grace.

Worship must be not circumstantial, we do not wait for things to get better before we fully worship the Lord. He is worthy of worship at all times. We worship Him not only because he blesses us, but because He has never stopped being faithful to us.

𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄, 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄.

Giving thanks to the Lord seems easy when blessings and provisions are with you. But what if your situation turns bad? What if the blessings you kept close are retrieved by God?

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

These verses teach us that our thanksgiving and gratitude for the Lord should be unconditional, just as He loves us unconditionally.

The lives of Paul, Joseph the dreamer, and Hannah (wife of Elkanah) reflect last sunday’s sermon. Amid great danger, inconveniences, and hardships, they gave back the praise allotted for God alone.

Praise is a weapon and a solution for struggles.

However, God did not promised that if you have done your part in giving praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, it automatically means our problems will be gone.

But the good news is that even if we have reached the lowest point of our life, God will turn it for good.

For everthing we experience, God has His purpose. Sometimes the Lord lets us know of it, but mostly it takes time. So it is important for us to learn that even when we do not understand God’s purpose in our circumstance, we must trust in Him always. Remember, we are walking in the presence of the Lord in all seasons of our lives, and He will never let us go astray from Him.
