"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" — 1 Peter 2:9

On the previous sunday, Sis. Jade Vargas reminded all of us that we christians are the chosen people of God. Just as how God loved us first, he also chose us first. Nothing can compare when you understand that God has purposely chosen you—to establish your mission and calling for the advancement of His kingdom. Knowing the essence of being the chosen by the Lord, brings us out of worldly validations and identity crises. We must acknowledge that we belong to God alone, for He is the one who shapes our identity and brings out the best in us.
