Niño, Tanay, Rizal for the orphanage youth and students from neighboring
mountain tribes. May, 1979 - Friends in Badian and seaside barrios (villages) in Albay asked for help – they were desperately in need of a high school for their young people. Since no
road came through the mountains to the barrios, the only way students could go to high school was by boat to a larger town. During the six-m
onth season for typoons,
the small boats from the barrios could not risk the ocean's big waves. June, 1980 - Grace Christian Mission Technical School (GCMTS) in Badian, Oas, Albay began in a rented house and a temporary classroom building. May, 1983 - Grace Christian Mission Technical School in Sto. Niño, Tanay, Rizal moved to Boso-Boso, Antipolo City. GCM's buildings in Sto.Niño had to be
abandoned because of the government's Daraitan Dam project. September, 1985 - Government awarded Certificate of Recognition to GCMTS in Badian, Oas, Albay - Region V. April, 1986 - Government awarded Certificate of Recognition to GCMTS in Boso-Boso, Antipolo City -Region IV. June, 2003 - GCMTS stages development of its elementary school to meet educational needs created by severe over crowding of public elementary schools: 2003
Grade 1; 2004 Grades 1 and 2; 2005 Grades 1, 2 and 3; and 2006 Grades 1, 2,3 and 4. In prior years, GCM provided kindergarten and preparatory classes for its
orphans and other children from the community: these classes have been added to GCMTS elementary school. June 2008 - GCMTS offering a complete elementary
school in the Philippines.
