The National Blood Services Act (RA 7719) promotes voluntary, non-paid blood donation and phased out commercial blood banks, requiring blood services to run on a non-profit basis. It treats giving blood as a professional medical service and act of kindness, not the sale of a commodity, and it curbs the hazards of a paid blood trade that once put patients at risk.

Every voluntary donation is a stranger choosing to help another person live. ✊🏻

The exploitation of a body doesn't only happen through labor or s*x, it can happen through organs, too.

Under the Anti-Trafficking law (RA 9208, as amended by RA 10364 and RA 11862), trafficking in persons legally includes recruiting, transporting, or harboring someone for the removal or sale of their organs. When syndicates deceive, coerce, or pay a vulnerable person for a kidney, that is human trafficking — punishable by up to life imprisonment.

No amount of desperation makes it "consent." The law protects the person, not the trade. ✊🏻

The most generous thing a person can leave behind is a chance for someone else to live. 🧡

The Organ Donation Act (RA 7170) lets you voluntarily donate all or part of your body after death, for transplantation, research, or education, and allows your nearest relatives to donate on your behalf. Just as importantly, it authorizes donation only, not sale. That single line is what protects vulnerable people from being pressured to sell their organs.

Choosing to be a donor is a quiet act of love. Being pressured to sell an organ is exploitation, and the law knows the difference. ✊🏻

The NBI arrested a man at NAIA for allegedly recruiting six Filipinos bound for Vietnam through large-scale illegal recruitment and qualified human trafficking.

Illegal recruitment under RA 10022 can carry up to 20 years in prison and fines up to ₱2,000,000, and when it crosses into trafficking, RA 11862 raises the stakes to life imprisonment. Before you sign or fly: verify that the agency is licensed by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). ✔️

A legitimate recruiter will never rush you, hide documents, or ask for secret fees. Save this and share it with anyone applying to work abroad and ✊🏻

The Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710) is a comprehensive human-rights law that seeks to eliminate discrimination against women and guarantee their rights, including protection from all forms of violence. It ties together the country's key shields (Anti-VAWC, Anti-Rape, Anti-Sexual Harassment, and Anti-Trafficking laws) into one commitment, and even treats violence committed by agents of the State as an aggravating offense.

It's the law recognizing a simple truth: women's rights are human rights, fully and without exception.

The Anti-Sexual Harassment Act (RA 7877) makes s*xual harassment unlawful in employment, education, and training, situations where someone with authority, influence, or moral ascendancy demands or pressures a s*xual favor. It requires workplaces and schools to have rules and a committee to act on complaints, so victims aren't left to fend for themselves.

The Anti-VAWC Act (RA 9262) protects women and their children from four kinds of abuse: physical, s*xual, psychological, and economic, whether from a spouse, ex, boyfriend, or the father of her child. Marriage isn't required. Survivors can seek Protection Orders (some issued in a single day) and are even entitled to up to 10 days of paid leave to attend to medical and legal needs.

Offered a BPO or "simple desk job" overseas, but everything's happening online? Pause and verify before you commit.

This is a common tactic used by scam hubs. Their victims often end up abused, unpaid, and trapped far from home, nothing like the job they were promised.

Protect yourself: verify any overseas job through the Department of Migrant Workers at www.dmw.gov.ph before signing or paying anything.

Maraming alok na trabaho sa mga scam hubs ay ganito ang modus. Ang kanilang mga biktima ay madalas nakakaranas ng pang-aabuso at hindi nakakatanggap ng sweldo at benepisyo na ipinangako.

The urgency is the scam. ‼️

The Access Devices Regulation Act (RA 8484, strengthened by RA 11449) penalizes fraud using cards, card numbers, and account credentials, including online transactions, skimming, and phishing. Scammers steal OTPs and passwords, drain accounts, and misuse victims' identities to enable even bigger crimes.

Remember this one rule: no legitimate bank will ever ask for your OTP, PIN, or password. When someone rushes you to "confirm" or "verify" those, stop, that pressure is the trap. ✊🏻
