Did You Know That!

The carabao slide is traditionally crafted from carved wood, making it appealing to foreign scouts who are accustomed to slides made from fabric or plastic. Additionally, it carries multiple symbols: the first being a Symbol of Hard Work, representing the diligent, persistent, and resilient spirit of the Filipino people. Another aspect is Values Representation, as the carabao embodies humility, friendliness, hospitality, and patience qualities esteemed in Filipino culture. In relation to the BSP, it signifies "service-first" leadership, endurance, and quiet strength, which are in harmony with the Scout Oath and Law. Lastly, the use of the carabao slide sets Filipino Scouts apart from other national organizations, showcasing a local identity within the global Scouting community.

The Carabao Slide isnโ€™t just part of our uniform, it reminds us who we are. Strong, hardworking, and always ready to serve. Like the carabao, we are ready tomove forward with resilience and lead with heart, living the Scout Oath and Law every day. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญโšœ๏ธ

โ“ Did you know that Lord Robert Baden-Powell started the Scouting Movement in 1907? Inspired by his experiences in war, he wrote Aids to Scouting and later tested his ideas through the first Scout camp on Brownsea Island changing history forever.

- Follow instructions from leaders
- No bullying or discrimination
- Stay with your group, always have a buddy
- No open flames outside designated areas
0 Lights out policy must be followed
- Stay in approved zones only
- Leave no trace โ€” keep the campsite clean
- Participate in all activities
- No alcohol, smoking, or illegal substances
- No dangerous weapons unless necessary for camping
- Mama Lou's Kitchen is open tomorrow during the camp

Keep in mind that a food stall will also be opened tomorrow. The gates open for those ready to face challenges with heart.
