Noong panahon na iwinagayway ang watawat ng Pilipinas bilang tanda ng ating kalayaan mula sa mga mananakop, ipinangako sa atin ang karapatan na mamuhay nang may dignidad at sariling pagpapasya. Ngunit tunay nga ba tayong malaya?

Sa araw-araw na mayroon tayong kinakaharap na mga isyung pangkalikasan, matinding pagtaas ng init at temperatura, krisis sa klima, pagbaha, pagkasira ng kagubatan, at pagkawala ng likas na yaman, hindi natin maikakaila na ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa pagkakaroon ng sariling watawat.

Dahil paano natin masasabing malaya tayo kung ang ating mga komunidad ay patuloy na nalalagay sa panganib? Paano natin ipagdiriwang ang kasarinlan kung ang kalikasan na siyang pinagmumulan ng ating buhay ay unti-unting nawawala?

Hanggaโ€™t patuloy nating pinapakinggan ang mga interes na inuuna ang kita kaysa kapakanan ng tao at kalikasan, mananatiling kulang ang ating kalayaan.
Sapagkat ang tunay na kalayaan ay hindi lamang paglaya mula sa pananakop ng dayuhan. Ito ay ang kakayahang ipagtanggol ang ating lupain, pangalagaan ang ating kapaligiran, at tiyaking may kinabukasan ang susunod na henerasyon.

Kaya sa panahong ito, hindi sapat ang alalahanin lamang ang kalayaan tuwing tayo ay nagdiriwang. Panahon na upang tayo ay kumilos. Maging mapanuri sa mga desisyong nakaaapekto sa ating kalikasan, manindigan laban sa mga gawaing sumisira sa ating kapaligiran, at makilahok sa pagbuo ng mga solusyong tunay na para sa mamamayan.

Dahil ang pagtatanggol sa kalikasan ay pagtatanggol sa buhay. Ang laban para sa kapaligiran ay laban para sa karapatan ng bawat Pilipino.

Mula sa kabataan hanggang sa bawat mamamayanโ€”tayo ang henerasyong dapat tumindig. Hindi bukas, hindi sa susunod na panahon, kundi ngayon. Sapagkat ang tunay na kalayaan ay nagsisimula sa pagkilos. Makiisa at tumindig kasama ang Luntiang Mayumi Youth Advocates. ๐ŸŒฑโœŠ๐Ÿป

Today we are celebrating the WORLD TURTLE DAY. We want to honor these amazing WORLD TURTLE creatures that have been on our planet for millions of years. They live in our oceans, rivers and on land. WORLD TURTLE are beautiful animals and they help keep our environment healthy.

A lot of WORLD TURTLE species are, in trouble now because of pollution people taking over their homes and things that people do. This WORLD TURTLE DAY reminds us that we have to take care of them and the places where they live.

It's WORLD BEE DAY today, LUMIS! Let's acknowledge the hardship and vital role of our bees and other pollinators' actions in sustaining the environment. We appreciate the work of boosting biodiversity and ensuring food security.

Did you know that this day, we are supposed to draw attention to all serious threats to Bees and encourage sustainable beekeeping and conservation practices, knowing that Bees are a crucial group responsible for the vast majority of agricultural pollination, and that they collect pollen deliberately to feed their young?
