Thank You, Sts. Joachim and Anne, for raising the obedient Mama Mary. 🤍🙏

Today, we honor the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the grandparents of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Through their faith, love, and guidance, they nurtured the heart of Mary—a heart that was humble, pure, and always open to God’s will.

Because of their example, Mary learned to trust in the Lord and say her greatest “yes” to God: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38)

Sts. Joachim and Anne remind all parents and grandparents that their greatest gift to the world is not wealth or success, but raising children with faith, love, and obedience to God.

Thank you, Sts. Joachim and Anne, for raising the Mother of our Savior. May all grandparents and families be inspired by your holy example. Pray for us and for our families. 🤍

Today, 24 May, we commemorate a moment of special significance for the Lasallian community. On this day in 1900, our Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, was canonized in Rome by Pope Leo XIII alongside St. Rita of Cascia, patron saint of impossible causes, whose feast day the Church celebrated last May 22.

As we remember this shared milestone in the life of the Church, may St. Rita inspire us to remain hopeful in times of difficulty, and may St. La Salle continue to guide us in our mission of faith and service.

“THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.”— Saint Rita of Cascia

On this Memorial of St. Rita of Cascia, we are reminded that even the most hopeless situations are never beyond God’s power.

St. Rita lived through suffering, heartbreak, loss, and impossible trials, yet she never stopped trusting the Lord. Her life became a testimony that faith can still bloom even in wounded places.

Maybe today you are carrying your own “impossible” —
an unanswered prayer, a broken relationship, financial struggles, anxiety, grief, or silent battles no one else sees.

Take heart.
The God who worked through St. Rita still works miracles today — sometimes by changing the situation, and sometimes by strengthening the person who is suffering through it.

So tonight, pray with trust and surrender:

“Lord, even if I cannot see the way, I know nothing is impossible with You.” 🙏🏻
