VERSE OF THE WEEK:

Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

What does it mean to hold unswervingly to the hope we profess? It is by fixing our eyes on what Jesus already finished on the cross.

When prayer feels unanswered and nothing changes, we still choose to say that God is still good and God is still faithful.

Although there can be a lot of uncertainties in our lives, there’s still a lot of things that we can be sure of—that our HOPE is in the Lord.

Indeed, He who promised is faithful!

VERSE OF THE WEEK:

Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

We will face many trials and tribulations in life and that is our reality. As long as we are in this world, these struggles will not end no matter how good or bad we are.

Yes, we will still experience struggles in this life, but our hope is assured that our life with Him is already secured! So we press on and fight the good fight of faith, for we know that He will be with us to the very end of the age.

True protection is a life secured in Christ Jesus our Lord.

VERSE OF THE WEEK:

1 John 1:9 NLT
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Along our journey, there will be times when we make mistakes, and as a result, we become weighed down by a guilt that slowly eats us up. We desperately try to hide our mistakes or fix them using our own strength. We will do everything we can burying our past and putting on a brave face hoping the shame and guilt will just go away. For a while, we might forget, but in the quiet moments, we realize the heavy burden is still there. Most of the time, we exhaust ourselves trying to earn forgiveness, when all we really need to do is be honest with Him.

Admitting our mistakes is not shameful, hiding them is what makes our burden heavier. God sees the failures we try so hard to hide. He knows everything about the shame and guilt that we carry. Are you not tired of carrying this burden alone? He invites us to pour our hearts out, be honest with Him, and surrender the mess we cannot clean up on our own. The same God who is perfectly just is also perfectly faithful to forgive our deepest wrongs.

If you stumble and fall short, run to God, do not run away from Him. He can cleanse the heavy guilt that has kept you in the dark for so long. God is gracious, and He is faithful to forgive.

VERSE OF THE WEEK:

Exodus 15:26 NLT
'He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

There are moments when we are deeply hurt, and we desperately look for comfort in people, places, or things that only give temporary relief. For a moment, the pain becomes quieter, but when it passes, we realize the wound is still there. Sometimes, we keep looking for healing everywhere, when God has been calling us to come to Him.

God sees the wounds no one else can see. He knows the pain we carry and the burdens we are tired of holding. He invites us to pour out our hearts and surrender what we cannot heal on our own. The same God who heals our bodies is able to heal our hearts.

So when you are hurting, run to God, not away from Him. He can restore what was broken and redeem what once wounded you. He is our comfort, our refuge, and our healer.

DEEPLY SPOKEN
EPISODE 2: THE BEAUTY OF FAITH LIES IN THE MIDST OF THE UNCERTAINTY

"What keeps you moving in spite of the uncertainty of tomorrow?"

It is true that tomorrow is uncertain and things may not be what they are today. We often worry what will happen next or will things work out as we planned. But despite this, Christ remains the constant that we can cling to and the hope that will keep us going. We may not know what tomorrow will bring but we are able to face it with peace and confidence because we have Jesus—the one who holds it.

Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭34‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

How about you, CUF? What keeps you moving in spite of the uncertainty that tomorrow brings? Comment them down below and let us learn from another.

God bless, CUF! See you on our next episode.

VERSE OF THE WEEK:

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭32‬ ‭NIV‬‬
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

At some point in our lives, we tend to experience things that we simply cannot understand. At times, in our battles, we ask if they can be overcome. Or maybe we are in need of provision, and yet we don’t see the clear picture on how our needs will be provided.

If God is for us, no one can stand against us, so why worry? Thank God for His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us, and the assurance of victory given unto us.

Sometimes, we do not experience His provision because we are too shy to ask. This is a great reminder to humble ourselves before Him and depend on Him alone. For He who gave His Son for us, is there anything He will not provide?
