𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | The Chinese Language and Culture Society (CLCS) formally conducted its Transitory Meeting, marking the transition of leadership from the outgoing officers to the newly elected set of student leaders.
The program commenced with a call to order led by outgoing President Reynel Gonzales, officially opening the proceedings and gathering the members for the ceremonial transfer of responsibilities.
This was followed by the opening remarks delivered by Julia Austria, the outgoing Vice President, who reflected on the journey of the outgoing officers throughout their term. She highlighted the challenges they overcame, the milestones they achieved, and the dedication they demonstrated in serving both the organization and its members.
A presentation of the organization’s accomplishments was then delivered by outgoing Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) Allaine Jeanele Bautista, showcasing the projects, programs, and achievements realized under the leadership of the outgoing administration.
Subsequently, Kimberly Garcia presented the newly elected officers, formally introducing the student leaders entrusted with continuing the mission and vision of CLCS.
One of the highlights of the event was the Bequeathal Ceremony, led by outgoing President Gonzales as the designated bequeathal officer. During the ceremony, the Scholar’s Brush was ceremonially passed on as a symbol of wisdom, leadership, and the enduring values upheld by the organization.
The turnover ceremony and signing of documents followed, during which Gonzales formally transferred the organization’s files and records to incoming President Ashelia Deang. The activity symbolized the official turnover of authority and responsibilities to the new administration.
Deang then delivered her acceptance message, expressing her gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in her leadership. She also conveyed her commitment to upholding the organization’s values and pursuing initiatives that will further strengthen CLCS and its members.
The program concluded with the closing remarks and adjournment led by Gonzales, who expressed his appreciation to the officers and members who contributed to the organization’s success and extended his best wishes to the incoming leadership as they embark on a new chapter for CLCS.
The incoming officers were elected through the CLCS Election conducted on June 2–3 via Google Forms. The electoral process was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the organization’s Constitution and By-Laws, ensuring a transparent and orderly selection of student leaders who will serve the organization for the incoming academic year.
