Sept 26 2026 | Cultivating learners through rights protection, drug-free advocacy and national solidarity for a resilient future.

We’re truly grateful for our Day 2 seminar with guest speaker Ms. Cindy S. Mejia. This session opened our eyes: protecting every learner matters deeply. We must never ignore exploitation, discrimination, corporal punishment, bullying, cyberbullying, or any form of abuse—physical, emotional, or otherwise. These harms leave lasting scars, and no one should have to face them alone. Real protection means we look out for one another: learner to learner, adult to learner, and learner to community. Let’s stand together, speak up when we see something wrong, choose kindness, and build a safe, drug-free, united future where every single learner feels protected, valued, and free to shine. 💙🌱

Naging sentro ng kaganapan ang pagpapalakas sa boses at kapakanan ng kabataan. Sa pamamagitan ng pagmumulat sa kanilang mga karapatan, paglalayo sa kanila sa banta ng illegal na droga, at pagpapatibay ng pagkakaisa bilang isang bansa, pinaglilinang ang mga mag-aaral na maging matatag at responsableng lider ng kinabukasan. 💫

Mula sa masiglang pagbubukas hanggang sa huling bahagi ng programa, kitang-kita ang saya at inspirasyon sa mukha ng bawat kalahok. Ang tagumpay ng gawaing ito ay patunay na kapag sama-sama ang komunidad, mas natitiyak natin ang isang ligtas at magandang bukas para sa ating mga kabataan. 🫂

World Patient Safety Day
Safe care for life!

Today (September 17, 2026), we celebrate World Patient Safety Day, an official World Health Organization global day to raise awareness and drive action to reduce avoidable harm in health care. Globally, 1 in 10 patients is harmed in healthcare (up to 1 in 3 for cancer care). We dedicate this day to the campaign’s core objective of strengthening safety across the continuum of care using a primary health care approach.

Its focus is reducing preventable harm in chronic/long-term conditions (cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease).

This year’s theme is “Safe care for noncommunicable diseases” with the slogan “Safe care for life!”, calling us to ensure that no one is harmed while receiving care for long-term conditions like heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases which account for 74% of deaths worldwide.

This day reminds us that patient safety is not just the job of doctors and nurses, it’s a partnership between health workers, patients, families, and communities, working together to make every care journey safe, coordinated, and compassionate for life.
