In celebration of the 250th US Independence Day, members of VFW Post 2485 Auxiliary gathered to support and celebrate the 4th of July event sponsored by the SFA Chapter 46. Auxiliary members assisted in decorating and preparing the venue with many various symbolic and patriotic decorations. These included Patriotic Wreaths that Auxiliary member’s children made prior to the event. Our Auxiliary Madam Guard Marcel Brown initiated the Kids Patriotic Wreath making with the support of other Auxiliary mommies and kids. Letting the kids experience and feel the significance of the 4th of July was the inspiration behind showing the kids what the materials used stand for.
During the event, Auxiliary members displayed so much enthusiasm in conducting entertaining games for kids and adults.
Also, our Auxiliary Buddy Poppy ladies pinned our veterans thanking them for their service.
Everyone had fun and were excited watching the fireworks show ending this glorious day of celebration.
Thank you SFA Chapter 46 for organizing such a wonderful event.

On Memorial Day, we shared photos from the Memorial Day programs, projects, events and ceremonies posted or sent in by VFW Auxiliary members, which we will also be compiling in an album for future perusal. We have received many more submissions over the weekend and are sharing them throughout the day today, Tuesday, too. Thank you to all who have participated for all that you do!

The VFW Post 2485 Auxiliary conducted a community outreach where several Auxiliary members participated along with our VFW Post officers last February 21, 2026 in Sitio Balarao, Brgy Sapang Bato, Angeles City.
The recipients were the Aeta families with kids living in the mountain side in Sitio Balarao.
The Post Auxiliary provided 200 kilos of rice, 200 packs of lunch meals, hygiene kits with towels, bread snacks and candy packs while the VFW Post provided the sitio with three Solar Powered streetlights. Aside from in kind donations, Post Auxiliary members exerted their effort to show and demonstrate good hygiene practices like proper handwashing & brushing teeth to all the kids present in the event.
Many thanks to all who initiated, supported, shared in kind donations, and volunteered to render their time and effort just to make the outreach possible and successful. You all touched many hearts again and were such a blessing to this kind of community recipients. May God bless your big heart and generosity.
