ROTARACT CLUB OF ALICIA MEETS WITH NATIONAL NUTRITION COUNCIL REGION II

September 8, 2026 | Region II

The Rotaract Club of Alicia held a meaningful consultation with Mr. Rommel Teofilo Aguilar, Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator, and Mr. Edzell Arcinue, Nutrition Officer III of the National Nutrition Council Region II (NNC RII).

During the meeting, the club presented Project MAMa (Movement Against Malnutrition), its community-based nutrition support program focused on improving the nutritional well-being of children, mothers, and pregnant women through sustained feeding, nutrition education, maternal support, health promotion, and community capacity-building.

The consultation provided the club with valuable technical recommendations and insights on strengthening the implementation and long-term direction of Project MAMa. Discussions also explored future plans and opportunities to further develop the program and expand its impact within the community.

The Rotaract Club of Alicia extends its sincere appreciation to the National Nutrition Council Region II for its time, guidance, and valuable contribution toward strengthening community-based nutrition initiatives.

Together, we work toward healthier children, empowered mothers, safer pregnancies, stronger families, and a better-nourished community.

‎PROJECT BASA UPDATE
‎
‎On October 7, 2026, Project BASA Chair Justine Lyka Tanap and Zyra Nicole Laguerta met with Mary Jane R. Florsca, Ed.D., Principal of Linglingay Elementary School, to discuss the initial plans and coordination for the implementation of Project BASA.
‎
‎During the meeting, the team discussed prioritizing Grade 3 learners, who are currently in a transition period and may benefit from additional reading support.
‎
‎Project BASA aims to help children develop better reading skills, become more confident learners, and build a stronger foundation for their future education.
‎
‎Through this initiative, the Rotaract Club of Alicia and Rotary Club of Alicia Pagay remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities for children to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

This Teachers’ Day, the 𝙍𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖 honors all the incredible teachers who go beyond lessons and textbooks. Thank you for being mentors, inspirations, and guiding lights who patiently nurture dreams, build confidence, and leave lasting marks on every student you teach. PROJECT ONE TREE, ONE DREAM

A greener future begins with the trees we plant today.

On September 25, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Alicia, in partnership with Barangay Linglingay, headed by Barangay Captain Jonathan Dumlao, came together for a tree-planting activity at Mini Dam, Barangay Linglingay, Alicia, Isabela.

Santol, Tamarind, Mulberry, and Narra trees were planted as part of our shared effort to care for nature and contribute to a greener community.

We also extend our sincere appreciation for the presence and support of Pres. Peter Danao, President of the Rotaract Club of Tuguegarao Citadel, whose presence added meaning to this collective effort for environmental service and community impact.

This activity reminds us that every small effort matters. By planting trees today, we help create a healthier environment and a better future for the generations to come.

Together, let us continue taking simple yet meaningful steps toward a more sustainable community.

A healthy family begins with a healthy and empowered mother. 🤱🏻

As part of the 𝙐𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙈𝘼𝙈𝙖: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙢𝙖, 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 dedicated to providing basic health assessment and medical consultation to mothers and children in the community.

Through this initiative, 20 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 19 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, were given the opportunity to receive medical consultation and health guidance with the generous support of 𝘿𝙧. 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘼𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙖 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨, 𝙈𝘿 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙧. 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝙀𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝘾. 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨, 𝙍𝙈𝙏, 𝙈𝘿, 𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙣. 🩺👩‍⚕️

This project is more than a medical mission it is a reminder that every mother deserves care, every child deserves a healthy start, and every family deserves a community that stands with them.

From 𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 15–26, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Alicia proudly carried out 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙈𝘼𝙈𝙖: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙢𝙖, 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙, 𝙖 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣. 🌱👩‍👧‍👦

The project brought together 20 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 19 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, creating a space where families could share meals, learn, connect, and receive support. More than providing nourishment, the initiative reminds us that when we care for mothers, we help nurture healthier and stronger children.

Beyond every meal shared is a message of love: 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙬𝙚 𝙣𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣; 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙣𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣, 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮. 🌱

A meaningful milestone in service and partnership was celebrated at 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 through the turnover of the 𝙒𝘼𝙎𝙃 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩, a collaborative initiative of the 𝙍𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮 and the 𝙍𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙤𝙛 𝙉𝙞𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙪 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙖. 💧🧼

More than the facilities and hygiene kits, this collaboration reminds us that 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚: 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚, 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮.
