Empowered women, thriving community 💜
The Municipality of Alegria proudly celebrated the Culmination of Women’s Month 2026 on March 28, 2026, together with the Alegria Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA).
The celebration began with a solemn mass at St. Francis Xavier Parish Church, officiated by Rev. Fr. Froilan M. Bejoc, setting a meaningful and spiritual tone for the day.
In the afternoon, a vibrant program followed, highlighted by an informative Health Talk from our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Claire O. Cardona, who shared valuable insights for the health and well-being of our women.
Six AWWA chapters; Compostela, Guadalupe, Legaspi, Montpeller, Sta. Filomena, and Valencia—graced the event, showcasing their talents through lively dance and heartfelt singing performances, truly reflecting the strength, creativity, and unity of Alegria’s women.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated Day Care Workers for their unwavering commitment and service in nurturing and educating our young children. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
We are honored by the presence and participation of our Chairperson for Women, Children, and Family Relations, Hon. Lennie Piñez, whose support continues to inspire our community.
The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all chapters, officials, workers, and to every woman and man who contributed to making this celebration meaningful. This month stands as a tribute to every woman especially the empowered women of Alegria.
