ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

The measure is in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

Alaminos COP orients TODAs in Alaminos City

ALAMINOS CITY, PANGASINAN | Alaminos City Police Station (ACPS) conducted today an orientation to the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) Presidents of Alaminos City in line with the observance of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) from September 1 to 7, 2026.

PLT. COL. Jan Ringgo R. Quintinita, Chief of Police (COP), headed the said orientation to the nineteen (19) TODA Presidents from 100 Islands TODA Federation and FACPTODA. He highlighted the importance of every individual in crime prevention. “Crime prevention is a shared responsibility”, COP said. TODA members are part of the community who can participate in building a safer, more orderly, and more peaceful community. TODA Presidents were likewise encouraged to be more vigilant, and to be the law enforcers’ partner in promoting awareness and preventing crimes.

This year’s NCPW theme is “Strengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities”. 100 Islands TODA Federation President Danilo Yanguas of P’SADTODA and FACPTODA Secretary Pedro Inacay Jr. of AMATODA-DT led their respective federations in this undertaking.

📍 Setyembre 2, 2026 | Alaminos City, Pangasinan

Isinagawa ng City Transportation Regulation Unit (CTRU) ang Capability Development Orientation on Road and Local Public Transport Safety para sa mga Senior High School students ng Colegio San Jose de Alaminos (CSJA).

Tinalakay ang road safety, traffic rules, at responsableng paggamit ng pampublikong transportasyon upang mahubog ang mga kabataan bilang disiplinado at responsableng road users.

🤝 Patuloy ang CTRU sa pakikipagtulungan sa mga paaralan at komunidad para sa mas ligtas na kalsada at mas ligtas na paglalakbay.
